Rambo gets a gun

Rambo gets a gun

Cardiff Citys youngest ever first team player, teenager Aaron (Rambo) Ramsey has finalised his anticipated move to Arsenal following the completion of transfer formalities at The Emirates.

Proudly parading his new shirt in the red and white of his new club he spoke of the pivotal role Wenger played in his move and his ambition to establish himself in the team. As a young player yet to acquire the physical development of a central midfielder able to compete regularly in the Premier League it is expected that he will bide his time initially challenging for a Carling Cup place.

Rambo has already drawn first blood. Scoring at the Emirates will not be a new experience for him having scored there for Cardiff in a FA Youth Cup final last year.

Arsène Wenger had this to say about his new signing "We`re delighted to have signed Aaron Ramsey. He is a young player who has shown huge potential with his performances for both Cardiff City and Wales at under-17 and Under-21 levels. He is still only 17, but has already shown that he is a very intelligent and mature player with great quality. Although he mainly plays in midfield, Aaron is a versatile player and can also play across the defence. We are all looking forward to welcoming Aaron to the Club for our pre-season preparations."

I have to say that I was very impressed by Gareth Bale and think he's an excellent signing for Spurs so if this Welsh talent is as good, if not better, then we've done really well. Is it just me that thinks that ours and Man Utd's interest in Ramsey and Liverpool's interest in Barry has something to do with forward planning in case of the 6+5 rule (or something similar)?
