Rambo gets a gun

Cardiff Citys youngest ever first team player, teenager Aaron (Rambo) Ramsey has finalised his anticipated move to Arsenal following the completion of transfer formalities at The Emirates.

Proudly parading his new shirt in the red and white of his new club he spoke of the pivotal role Wenger played in his move and his ambition to establish himself in the team. As a young player yet to acquire the physical development of a central midfielder able to compete regularly in the Premier League it is expected that he will bide his time initially challenging for a Carling Cup place.

Rambo has already drawn first blood. Scoring at the Emirates will not be a new experience for him having scored there for Cardiff in a FA Youth Cup final last year.

Arsène Wenger had this to say about his new signing "We`re delighted to have signed Aaron Ramsey. He is a young player who has shown huge potential with his performances for both Cardiff City and Wales at under-17 and Under-21 levels. He is still only 17, but has already shown that he is a very intelligent and mature player with great quality. Although he mainly plays in midfield, Aaron is a versatile player and can also play across the defence. We are all looking forward to welcoming Aaron to the Club for our pre-season preparations."

I have to say that I was very impressed by Gareth Bale and think he's an excellent signing for Spurs so if this Welsh talent is as good, if not better, then we've done really well. Is it just me that thinks that ours and Man Utd's interest in Ramsey and Liverpool's interest in Barry has something to do with forward planning in case of the 6+5 rule (or something similar)?

Pennant was kicked out of Arsenal. If you said Francis Jeffers, I'd give you that. lol. We all know how much obsessed you are with trying to wind us up. Banter happens, like U4L above or other people, at least they got their point across. But your shots are always off target.

Gooner_Vin, Ramsey is Welsh, so I doubt he will qualify under the 6+5 rule. I've seen little of the lad but he comes highly rated, so hopefully, we'll see him in reserves games and a couple of CC games.

Prits - of course, I forgot about that. Amazing how a new signing creates a feel good factor, albeit not a major one. Pity we haven't seen much of Nasri at the Euros - maybe just as well cos France have been poor.

You get all the big names you want, congrats on yours. I for one agree with the club, we're bringing in big players rather than big names, which we've made a few these few years (Kolo, Cesc, RvP; next up will be Ade, Clichy, Sagna) so I don't see the need to buy them. Only those teams who need that kind of a lift have to buy big names. That's why I understand where your (lame) claims are coming from and why you're jumping up and down about your "big" signings. Congrats.

1. Nobody's saying Ramsey is any big signings, so you're in the wrong thread in the 1st place. 2. Does Giovani or Modric or Ramos give you any guarantees, or is there such a thing as guarantee in football? 3. Your kind of behaviour is the very reason why young men like Ramsey and Nasri are so impressive - they're mature beyond their years while so many adults (or kids who claim to be adults) aren't even capable of having a decent conversation but are obsessed with their opponents (I wouldn't even call us your "rivals" now cos we aren't anymore). If you think what you say would wind people up, and you'd take any pleasure from that, the sooner you face and cure your inferiority complex, the better, only then would Spurs stand a chance of becoming a big club.

What did I say that will come back to "haunt" anyone? Which word from me could be worse than to say they "will" gate crash top 4, something that they've consistently failed to do in the 16 years of EPL history? What statement would be bolder than to claim that they "will" suddenly do it in the 17th season? I really can imagine how much you guys love the 5-1 result. But your wind-up is wasted on me cos I don't even hate Spurs, I pity some of their fans, especially those whose world is as small as north London when other clubs rival other biggest clubs in the world. Seriously, get beyond that ar5ena1 thing that you're so obsessed with and grow with your club. Spurs have a chance with Ramos and the improved league money but the fans should grow out of their small-mindedness for it to be big. Good luck.

"A lot of" Arsenal fans want him out? lol We support different clubs for a reason. That's the Spurs board's mentality - results not going our way, sack the manager. Not to the majority of us. Don't you dare put words into our mouths if you're not even a gooner. Seriously, give Ramos some time. It might take a few months to win a Carling Cup. But it often takes more than 3 years to build a great team that win major trophies. Most of us are proud of the manager we've got and the way the club's being run. Thanks for your concern. I won't say we'll "gate crash" the CL final or whatever goals we have, cos that kind of claims are plain stupid and might "come back to haunt" us. But one thing we're very sure is that Wenger is building a great team in the right direction. I'm not taking time to answer anything that's not worth my while. Just went to get ready for bed - cos I'm not obsessed with these petty talks enough to stick around and respond to you. Good night.

ManU didn't win any major trophies in 3 years from 2005 to 2007. They did win the Carling Cup in 2006 but they don't really count that - it's looked upon as a bit of an embarrasment for them.

Morning, haha 123spurs you really have nothing else to do? btw Carvalho, despite playing for such a rich club, tells us that even their money couldn't guarantee success, but "in football you need stability if you want to be successful": http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8652_3693267,00.html

£22m??? And you ask me to get my facts right? Bent was one of those big names you were on about. It's a common theme throughout your history to buy showponies and mercenaries to alleviate a nororiously deluded fan base, who convince themselves in the same fashion as Herbert Hoover that prosperity is just around the corner. It's been 47 years and prosperity has yet to rear its head.

No problem 123 - we are more than happy with the set up. We don't need a new manager every year in the fruitless task of trying to win something worthwhile - we can be patient. We went 3 years between '98 and '02 without winning anything - support still grew. How long did it take you to come up with your username? I have this mental picture of you struggling to decide when registering which was easiest to remember 123spud or ABCspud. Must have been difficult for you.

I also answered your question - we've been 3 years without winning anything under the same manager before - no problem. How long will your lot have to wait before you win the league title - another 47 years - never maybe. How many spuds on these forums were alive to see the last one? How many will live to see you win another? Pretty disappointing really. Trouble is whenever your lot open your mouths about trophies you just embarrass yourselves - it just deosn't compare with ours. Your willy waving just makes us laugh - it's really nothing at all to brag about.

Good on you spursfan4eva. It does your lot more good to show that there are supporters capable of coherent posts rather than just wind up merchants. Wouldn't be so bad if the wind ups were any good - most of them are just pathetic. All clubs and supporters start the new season wondering what to expect from their new signings and hoping for the best from them. Doesn't always come from the expected sources though. Walcott took a lot of stick under the weight of expectation. I hope we show Ramsey a little more tolerance.
