Wham, Bam, Welcome Sam?

Wham, Bam, Welcome Sam?

Reports are emerging tonight that the player dubbed 'the new Zidane' (no pressure, then...), Samir Nasri, has agreed a four year contract with The Arsenal.

The story runs on the BBC website.

There are, admittedly, no concrete facts to back it up, but the story has been running so long now, that it appears there could be good reason to give credence to the reports.

With the Nasri rumours having been going for a while, it will come as a welcome relief if this deal is tied up, so that many Arsenal fans can get on to the next 'signing' and begin clamouring for the signature of David Villa, to replace Adebayor, whose left leg and right arm will be going to Barcelona, whereas his torso, right leg and head will head for AC Milan, whilst his left arm will remain on loan to Arsenal for the forthcoming season, in what is one of the most complex transfer deals in the history of football.

If the reports are to prove true, let us all welcome Samir Nasri to the Arsenal family, and look forward to him having a prosperous and successful career with us.

If this is going to happen then the sooner they get it done the better. As you say. no hard facts yet, but not too many rushing to deny the whispers either.
