Galliani: Ade Buy Or Buy Nada

Adriano Galliani has declared that AC Milan's sole striking target this summer is Emmanuel Adebayor, and that the Rossoneri haven't negotiated for Eto'o or Drogba.

speaking to Italian reporters before going in for an Italian League meeting, the scary-looking mutha said,

There is no negotiation for Eto'o or Drogba, if we do not get Adebayor, we will remain as we are.

'We have received an answer from Arsenal, which says they are not prepared to sell the player.

Anything can happen, but for now we are not authorised to negotiate with the player.

I for one think this is bullshit. Galliani, you've been told no, so sod off and look elsewhere. And no way will they not buy if they can't get Ade, it's all just bullshit mind-games, in some lame attempt to force Arsenal's hand to accept MIlan's approach, as if we are haggling for a higher price.

Get it into your thick bald head, Galliani, we don't want to sell, Ade, Arsene's faxed you telling you where to go, so why don't you go and do one?

Milan are fast catching up Barça and Real Madrid as who is the biggest bunch of rim-cheese eaters in world football.

I have it on good authorty, Rockster, that Galliani has had a special internet connection set up in the league meeting, so as he could read my thoughts on the subject as soon as they were published.

So if my body is found in my flat, drained of blood with puncture wounds in the neck, tell the cops to question any bald-headed Italian football club presidents for alibis.

no smoke without fire and adebayor has been walking round the place like he deserves over a 100k pay packet for one good season, not outstanding, but just good. he must of forgotton when he had a samson haricut lost his strength to score ! if arsenal are haggling, good luck to them, if barcelona want £40m for Eto who is prime but going wrong way, they Adebayor should command that cvos his potential is that much better. i hope they get a fortune, remember when le sulk wanted out, we did a great deal, wenger knows if the player is interested in just money, the he can eff off now.

I just can't get over the critisism that Ade gets from some of our own. It's ridiculous. And it's always, 'I'd replace Ade for Villa or Huntellar', etc, never, 'I'd love to see Villa or Huntellar up front with Ade. How about Van Persie and Ade? I personally believe that the most lethal combination for a strike partnership consists of a clinical goal scorer and a nuisance. Ade is the arguably, along with Drogba, the biggest nuisance in football for defenders to have to deal with. The clinical strikers are already there too. We missed both of them in the second half of the season and it showed. Van Persie and Ade will run riot in the Premiership this season mark my words, providing we keep hold of them both of course. I for one hope we can.

Also, let's say just for the sake of it that we take £30 million from AC and buy Villa. Who's to say that we'll get an immediate return from him? Not many players find their feet in their first season, so what will we do then? We now know what we can expect from our front line and it's more than enough to win us the league. Keeping them fit is where the battle lies, but I think that we'd have to be pretty damn unlucky to lose both VP and Eduardo to long term injuries simultaneously again. I'm also more confident that Theo could give us more than adequate cover from here on in should that curse strike again. Don't know about Vela yet as we're yet to see him up against the rough and tumble Premiership defences, but you never know.

I really believe Villa will stay in Spain--the two biggest clubs there are bidding for him and you'd be hard pressed to find any Spanish player preferring England to RM or Barca.

i dont agree with flv, i think it would be good to sell ade. a "nuisance"?? c'mon mate what crap is that?? we need "clinical" players who can get the job done more than 50% of the time. not 20-30%. i say get villa if at all possible purely for the intimidation factor (just like torres for liverpool). villa and van persie would be a killer combo. but failing to get villa, i reckon even bendtner and RVP would be better. theo, vela, nasri all to back up goalscoring. i know u guys think we are not true fans because criticise our own player, but cmon, ade shyts me to tears. lets sell him to the highest bidder!!!

We could go back to pass, pass pass if you like, and if that don't work we can just pass, pass, pass some more. Now if anyhing would, '****** a man to tears', surely that would be it. By the look of things in the press, you might just get your wish, and if that's the case then I hope that you're right and I'm wrong.
