Pick the starting XI against Barnet

Arsenal has named a 24-man squad for the pre-season friendly kicking off on Saturday against Barnet at 3pm.

The squad has just six of last season`s first team regulars with Almunia, Bendtner, Denilson, Clichy, Sagna and Walcott on the list. New boys Carlos Vela and Aaron Ramsey should make an appearance and some exciting young reserves also feature with Nordtveit, Wilshere and Barazite amongst them. The squad also includes Traore, Justin Hoyte and Randall who were on the fringes of the first team last season.

The full list is:

Justin HOYTE
Bacary SAGNA
Wojciech SZCZESNY (GK)
Carlos VELA

Reckon you can correctly predict the starting eleven from that squad? If so post your thoughts in the comments box below or on the Match Predictions forum here.

Shouldn't take too much spotting - there are 12 Brits in that list!

Defence: Vito MANNONE. Armand TRAORE. Havard NORDTVEIT. Gavin HOYTE. Paul RODGERS. Midfield: Nacer BARAZITE. Mark RANDALL. DENILSON. Jack WILSHERE. Forwards: Carlos VELA. Theo WALCOTT Expect to see a few more familiar faces during the match, but I am particularly keen to see what Barazite does this year. Wilshere looks bright talent too.

Looking forward to hopefully seeing Ramsey, Vela, Simpson, Randall and Nordtveit. They can all feature in the first team in the coming season (not just in Carling cup). I would love also to see Wilshire get a run with some of the first-teamers in this game.

you should hammer them, dont do what villa did and stand off them though.

I doubt we will hammer them, the team should be too experimental to play we any real cohesion, but we should have the quality to win by 2 goals.

I think we'll see most of the players over the ninety. I'm looking forward to see Vela, Wilshire and Barazite. I'm going with a Barnet season ticket holder, so it should be fun!

I want to see Vela, Walcott, Barazite, Ramsey, Denilson, Traore and Lansbury play in the same team.

I think all the first teamers will start and then be replaced by the reserve and academy players after half time. So Almunia, Sagna J Hoyte, Nordveit, Clichy. Traore will start on the left wing, Ramsey and Denilson in the middle Randall on the right with Walcott and Bendtner up front.

Btw where the hell is Diaby? He didn't go to the Euros, had a good few weeks off, should have had enough time to get well from his "minor" injury that he had at the end of last season, yes? Sigh.

Fran Merida went to the U19 championships but didn't play for Spain in the match on Monday. Some said he's injured, some said suspended. You can follow the kids' development with Young Guns.

how come fabrianski is not there?

Although he didn't play, Fabianski went to the European Championships, so I'd guess he, Gallas, Senderos, Djourou, Gallas, RvP and especially Cesc will get an extended break.
