Cesc to miss the next two games

Cesc to miss the next two games

Adding to the long term injuries of Rosicky and Eduardo the club has announced that many more players are unfit to make the trip to Holland.

Samir Nasri and Abou Diaby haven't yet recovered from injuries sustained in preseason and these have now been joined by Kolo Toure, Philippe Senderos and Cesc Fabregas. Both Senderos and Fabregas have damaged their hamstrings in the last 24 hours. Cesc is expected to miss at least the next two games while Kolo has damaged a muscle in his hip but is expected to be back by the weekend. Nasri is also expected to be back for the weekend game against West brom.

It looks as though Wenger is looking to the summers teenage recruit Aaron Ramsey to step in against FC Twente in the CL qualifier in Holland tomorrow evening.

With a number of players, including Sagna and Clichy, due to face a round of international friendlies on the 20th August just 4 days into the season, squad resources are going to be severely tested this month.

You couldn't make it up! I don;t care what team you mention, anyone missing Cesc, Diaby, Eduardo, Rosicky, Senderos, Toure and Nasri would struggle. This is turning into the most unfunny of jokes!

I don't want to sound like a D&G merchant but our squad is already showing a lack of depth in the midfield and the season hasnt even started!

that squad is rediculous. I'm not saying there aren't any good players in there but GK is right, the midfield is rediculously inexperienced. I'm still confident of getting a result (though also cautious), but this is how we dropped points in the Prem last season, and this squad is even thinner. We are relying on luck to carry us through this year.

I honestly hope this forces Arsene to buy that much-needed and overdue DM at least! :/ It's not the time to wait till the end of August for a bargain it seems!

Not just the midfield I've just realised: didn't Djourou have some kind of pain against Sevilla and came off? I don't think he's 100% either. Geez but we still have to play him alongside Gallas. It's a joke - and really really not funny!
