Traore Heads To The Arsenal Retirement Village

The surprise signing of Mikael Silvestre has triggered the loan move of Armand Traore to Portsmouth.

The French left back has joined a whole host of ex-Arsenal players down at Portsmouth as relations between the two clubs grows.

Traore's loan will be for a 12 month period giving the youngster the vital experience needed to take his game to the next level.

Good luck Armand and, indeed good luck Portsmouth.

Yes yes, very funny ;) But is he any good?
Tantona
In a word .... yes! He can be naive at times but he's still very young. He'll provide you extrodinary pace down the flank!
Rocky7
and a good cross and a powerful left foot shot as well
Passenal
Quickest most athletic player we have at Arsenal. Shame he is so raw on the tactical aspects of the game. lets hope 'Arry can imbue him with some of that vast knowledge he has gained over the years!!!
LondonGooner
We welcome him & for all ous sake's we hope he does well.

Harry is probably the best man to take him under his wing, and Lets not forget Adams, probably the best defence coach the lad could hope to have too. Pompey should benefit from this loan, and Arseanl will obviously benefit long term. Good move. Well done Harry and Arsen

oops excuse spelling - bloody fingers too big lol

Sounds just what we need; here's hoping

Talking about loans, Kieran Gibs to Wigan is another good loan move. Paul Jewel is a decent manager to play under...cant say i totally approve of Barazite (Derby) but its probably a good move for him too

I can see him running down the left flank, putting in a good cross for Crouch to lay off for Defoe to score already hehe. Good luck Armand!

Mutually beneficial for all concerned. He can be a great player for us but needs this experience. Harry and Tone are as good hands as we could hope to leave him in. The Pompey ground staff should probably frisk him for knuckledusters though! Oh and his kickboxing skills could be handy for knocking some bleedin sense into Diarra!

lol, doesn't the headline seem a bit arrogant? anyway, harry redknapp is a gooner. if u all dun already know.. got luck finding crouch and defoe traore, u will need it!

Good move for both sides, but I feel its a better move for Arsenal. Traore still needs to work on his defensive game and can be found out against pacy wingers. So I'm not sure he will benefit Pompey against a team like ManU. Otherwise, his defensive work should hold up against the lesser teams and Pompey will benefit from that.

'Arry said that Kranjcar's injured. Armand could get a chance in LW against ManU! :O

im loving pompey more each season, as the number of ex arsena players grow. anyway armand should be a fantastic addition to the squad. im sure he wants to prove his worth. i reckon pompey might want to make this deal permanent in 12 motnhs time.
supersof
"might want" that could be translated as "will want". he seems to be a fantastic talent, very much in the same mauld as glen johnson
