Wenger won't rule out Messi !
Following his refusal to rule out a move for Gareth Barry at his press conference yesterday despite claiming that Barry was overpriced and poor value for a player of his age Arsene Wenger has also failed to deny an interest in Lionel Messi.
An email sent to him asking if he was interested in buying the diminutive Argentine forward currently playing for Barcelona did not receive a denial as it remained unanswered. He is known to be an admirer of the attacking midfielder having believed to have once told a source close to him that "He is a very good player".
Having failed to rule out a move there are thought to be just two obstacles to the transfer; he would be too expensive and Barcelona don`t want to sell him.
In similar fashion Wenger has also refused to rule out moves for Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Fernando Torres and Emile Heskey.
The Arsenal manager is known to be in the market for at least one more player claiming "I can surprise you sometimes, as I got one in whom you did not expect, and there still might be one more player coming in. You know the position, but I cannot tell you much more. There is interest always. I do not want to give you any names."
Maybe not - but we all know who he means - don`t we?

Sarcasm ..... love it!! Lol. In seriousness though some agencies chose to put the name Gareth Barry into Wenger's quotes when that doesn't appear to be the case. Naughty naughty.

The problem with these interviews is that the name is introduced by the interviewer. If you say 'There is always interest' you can include anyone but realistically that can only be an interest if the commercial conditions are realisable. Hence you can put forward any name knowing that only the highy improbable would be denied outright. Doesn't really justify the sheer numbers of 'Barry not ruled out' this morning.

I'll give you another example of gathering hard facts, I think there may be fairies at the bottom of my garden so I went in the garden and asked them if they were there, they didn't deny their existence and so they must be real. Basically the British media are right, everything we want to be true just is unless it's denied, put it this way, Have you ever heard Wenger deny he rides a Unicorn to work? This obviously means that he does.

Yes the quotes have been manipulated, edited and twisted to point to Barry. But it could just be what Arsene wanted to do - to put up a smokescreen to sheild his real deal?! (Ah, he didn't rule out Veloso either, and he's not cup-tied. Arsene only said this to create an impression that Barry's also on his list to bargain some more with Sporting. There you go. This logic works too lol, so you can write anything.)
