Yay! A home draw for once.

Makes a nice change eh LD. Though I was hoping for Leeds United away as an easy to get to week night match for me .. lol

The fun in this competition is thinking who we might put out. Wilshere seems certain to start along with Ramsey I'd imagine. Vela perhaps? Too early for Bischoff is it?
Amos.
Yep, great to get a Home match 1st off and it would be good to actual see the new lad Bischoff on the pitch as well as Wilshere and Ramsey for the CC run.

Not bad, could have been worse. Pompey v Chelsea, Blackburn v Everton, ManU v Boro, Newcastle v Spurs, pretty "mouth-watering" by CC standards eh? Yeah the fun bit is to see the kids. Wilshere, Vela, Ramsey, Bischoff (or Coquelin?), Fabianski. But at the back, I just wonder if "uncle" Mikael will play now that we have no Traore, Senderos and Hoyte hehe..

How old does Jack Wilshere have to be to not qualify as Arsenal's youngest ever player?
Tom14
Amazing, people say Arsene's ways of deploying youngsters in the carling cup degrades the competition. I know it's a bit of a biast view but personally I absolutely love this competition now.

Tomf I believe the current record holder's still Cesc, who made his Arsenal debut at 16 years and 177 days in Oct 2003. Jack, who's born on 1 Jan 1992, has no chance to break that record already. Next time/kid.

Again ? I would have preferred a new opponent, but this is a tournament that I'm always up for. Fantastic opportunity for the kids to show what they're made of. Somehow, I look forward to the CC more than the FA Cup. Last season's Blackburn game was one of my favourites of the season. Lets hope the kids can put a few past Sheffield Utd again.

Jeez, that makes Jack Wilshere three weeks older than my nephew. Which also means he'd have got his GCSE results recently.
