'If It's Football, It's Vital'

AdeB.A.yor Unnerved by Jibba Jabba

Arsenal's Emmanuel Adebayor went all B.A. Baracus when on international duty after refusing to board the plane carrying the Togo team.

Mr A, said he had a bad feeling about the flight and refused to board the plane until Togan Football president got on the aircraft, and when he failed to show, Ade pitied the fools.

'My life is very dear to me and, if we have to go down, we'll all go down together with the president.' said Manu

'There are rumours that, if we get on, the aircraft will go down.'

I'd keep an eye on your milk from now on Ade!

''Ade, there's a suitcase stuffed full of fifties on there...'' = best way to get him on a plane, or maybe a few of them diamond encrusted bling hats.

FU#@/NG TWt, should have sold him in the summer.
Armory
Oh well, at least he won't be playing any more international now! Can't say I blame him, sometimes certain situations don't feel right, and youhave to go with your gut feeling, what's wrong with that?
hackneyval
As someone who suffers from a real fear of flying I understands how he feels. But I would never not get on a plane because I'm for too macho to do that .... I just spend the enitre flight trying not to ***** in my pants .... lol
Rocky7
Hey Armory, we should sell Bergkamp too then
th41
If we can get money for Bergkamp I say go for it :)
Rocky7
th41 = worst comment ever (not to mention jumbled up name)
shewore
It's not that he is afraid of flying th41, he's been in constant conflict with his contries FA. refusing to go on the plane had nothing to do with fear of flying, I bet if Real Madrid or Barcelona started to sniff around him to morrow he'd fly to Spain in an old banged up biplane if there was no other transport available.
Armory
Oh, and by the way, how do we know all this? I thought there were no mobile receptions in Togo...?!
shewore
lol... lol...lol....i m trying to say something but somehow...lol i can't stop lol. laughin.....lol

Ade's fear is legit -- he's had to deal with death threats for a long time now because of his vocal protests/demands to their FA to fulfill promises of wages and other benefits to the national team. The fact that the president suddenly pulled out of the flight with a weak story about his sick mother obviously seemed strange to Ade. I wouldn't have gone on the plane either.

shewore, my first name starts with t and my second with h and I'm guess how old...
th41
I know how u feel R7. However people don't have a fear of flying, they have a fear of crashing thats the problem!!!
itsup4grabsnow
i don't think he has fear of flying in general, he has fear of his FA! But serious, is the FA gonna shoot down a plane with their ENTIRE first team squad, coach etc? I think Ade's watched too many movies about Africa... or Togo must be one rough neighborhood... or Ade's going completely mental!
afri-gooner
okay th41, still can't quite grasp your sell Bergkamp comments though, bit of a strange one that...
shewore
was a joke, because he wouldn't fly either of course and someone suggested Ade should be sold... Oh never mind, as a joke it was on the worse side of cr@p
th41
maybe ade got tired of emulating henry, so now he wants to be bergkamp??
supersof
The A-team was a brilliant show; it brings back memories.
