Wenger: A Point Would Be Good, But I Still Want 3

Arsene Wenger believes that a point in our opening Champions League game against Kiev would be a good start.

And I gotta agree.

Kiev have often proved to be a banana skin for the Gunners, and to come away from what is arguably our hardest CL group stage game with anything will be a huge bonus.

"It is a tough place for us to go, It is maybe a little bit better for us to play earlier but I am convinced it will still be a massive challenge. We`ll go there and try to win the game but even if we take a point then for me it will be a good start.' Said Wenger

"Dynamo Kyiv knocked out Spartak Moscow 4-1, 4-1 . When you know Spartak Moscow and how strong the Russian League is at the moment that means it is a tough draw. I saw the first game at Spartak Moscow and Dynamo Kyiv were really impressive.

"Our group has four teams who are all used to playing in the Champions League - Fenerbache, Porto, Dynamo and us. Anyone can take points off anyone that`s why for me it`s very important we start well in this game."

I'm also fairly happy that this game will be out of the way early before it really gets to be brass monkeys weather out there.

We have to win every game in the CL including the final as it may well be our only hope of qualifying for next year, the spuds are really flying and will take our fourth spot.
Armory
Although our defence does look shaky at times, I'm confident that we'll outscore them, so 3 points!

We are in a group were everyone will takepoints oiff of everyone else, so even away draws are good results as we should be good enough to claim 9 out of 9 at home! Nice to see the infighting and arguing has already begun amongst our salad dodging neighbours supporters, nothing like pityful geographic rivals to put a smile on your face!

Our offense is firing on all cylinders at the moment and I dont see that trend changing tomorrow. Adebayor's strength, pace, and presence will be something that Kiev has never seen before and Ade will cause them many problems.
gunnerkid107
I hope you are right gunnerkid107 as I am not convinced by our defence.
Armory
Wooo - of-fens of-fense, go team! Kyev are dangerous, if Ade can brush up on the offside rule then hopefully he'll hit the ol' onion bag a coupla times. 2-0 to The Arsenal this one, early goals n all. That'd be nice eh, something we couldn't do last year was rest players during a game, as it were.

I hope that we get all 3pts, against Kiev on Wednesday pm,and like many others I so happy that we are playing them early doors.

SONG AND VELA SHOULD PLAY!!!

I agree with Tom on this one.
GoonerLou
Bring on the three points! As creeky as our defence appears. bear in mind, in our last three games we've scored 11 and conceeded none. And the three before that only conceded one. (1 goal all season). I'd much prefer a lucky defence than a good one!!!!
Bradys Chips
It is a difficult looking tie but three points should be attainable.
