What is it about international breaks that make players feel the urge to talk endlessly to the press? Maybe it's because they're back in their home country, or maybe it's simply just because the press have nothing better to write about so they hound players for new quotes. Don't get me wrong, I like hearing from my idols, but sometimes professional footballers just don't know when to be quiet. This week's idiotic example is Barcelona's Hleb the ice cream man. Why is it that every time he opens his mouth he talks about his old club. You got your dream move away from the big, noisy city of London, so why do you feel the need to always talk about all things Arsenal? Hleb revealed this weekend about his undying man love for our own Cesc Fabregas.
'We get on very well on and off the pitch. For me he is like a brother. We call each other a lot to talk about things,' Hleb told El Mundo Deportivo.
'He tells me he misses me at Arsenal and, without wanting to detract from anyone, I would love it if he came to Barca to be a part of all this.
'I don't stop insisting that he should return to Barca and he doesn't stop insisting that he is very happy at Arsenal and with Arsene Wenger.
'I will keep boring him until he changes his mind. If in the end he listens to me, I think it would be great for Barcelona.'
Alex didn't your mother ever teach you the lesson that 'no means no'. These kind of quotes from players drive me crazy to no end. They have no business talking about where another player should or shouldn't transfer too. Just because your a traitorous bastard, doesn't mean Cesc needs to be one too. Or was it just me yelling at the computer screen Saturday morning for Hleb to 'Shut the f**k up'?

Nah GK, no excuse of speaking with the press in his country. It's El Mundo that reported this cr@p. And if you look at those quotes, Hleb's very obviously trying to kiss some Catalonian arses. But no surprise there, he's got nothing else to do in the medical room.

Frank, Hleb's been out injured for a few weeks. Before then he'd only played a couple of competitive games and only as a sub. He played a lot in pre-season, tho, and did very well.

it's funny how he never spoke about his friendship with Cesc when he was at Arsenal. infact i cant remember one interview Hleb gave to the media while he was here. wonder who really is behind all these comments, i smell those rats from the barca board. fecking retards..
