Adebay-Amore

Adebay-Amore

Emmanuel Adebayor says last season's spat with fellow striker Nicklas Bendtner was borne out of love.

The pair clashed last season as the Gunners fell to a humiliating 5-1 defeat at the hands of 'rivals' (and I use that term in the loosest possible way) T*ttenham Hotspur.

Much was made of the spat, commentators never failing to pick up on it every time one passes (or not) to the other.

However Adebayor says it's only because they have a special bond and work together on a daily basis.

'My last memory of Tottenham was very bad and I`m looking to change that and give them something special.' said Ade

'Bendtner? We work every single morning together and who can say they never fell out with their girlfriend or wife? These things are natural. If you love someone too much, you fall out with that person.

'It was very difficult to take overall.'

Speaking from personal experience Ade's comments certainly strike a familiar note, I love my wife dearly but I too would sometimes like to stick the nut on her!!!

I am of course joking about that last part .............
