What a difference a few years makes.
It wasn't that long ago that Sir Alex Ferguson got covered in pizza (seriously, I still wonder where the pizza came from) in the players tunnel at Old Trafford, it wasn't a life time ago that Roy Keane and Paddy Vieira went toe to toe as the players waited to come out on to the pitch at Highbury, and the image is still in mind of Martin Keown hassling Ruud van Nistlerooy after his penalty miss in the dramatic nil-niller in our unbeaten season.
But despite all the hostilities, there now seems to be a Arsenal - United love-in.
Not only were there NOT any mind games leading up to the match at the Grove yesterday, but rumour has it that Fergie and Le Boss sat down for a cup of Earl Grey prior to kick off.
After the game the two gaffers were extremely complimentary of each others teams.
Roy Keane has also looked to get in on the smoochfest by jumping to the defence of the Arsenal manager after the pundits and media of England have given him a rough ride over the last ten days.
In a rant that had me nodding my head in agreement, I found myself harbouring a whole new respect for Keane and one of the most astute and, let's face, correct interviews you're ever likely to read.
'I was asked by ITV to do the Celtic versus Manchester United game but I've done it once for Sky and never again,' Keane said. 'I'd rather go to the dentist.
'You're sitting there with people like Richard Keys and they're trying to sell something that's not there.'
'Anytime I watch a game on television, I have to turn the commentators off. They say 'he's playing well' and I'm thinking 'no, he's not'. My advice to anyone is don't listen to the experts, Just watch the game and gather your own opinions.'
'There was a debate about Wenger on Sky and how crazy is that? People are actually getting interviewed saying he shouldn't be doing this.
'What that man's done for English football is amazing and will be remembered in 25, 50, 100 years' time. Will those on telly yesterday be remembered for what they've achieved? None whatsoever.
'I wouldn't trust them to walk my dog. There are ex-players and ex-referees being given air-time who I wouldn't listen to in a pub. OK, there will be one or two who've done something in the game whose opinion you would take on board, but I'm on about every Tom, Dick and Harry.'
I'm not sure how comfortable I feel having respectful feelings for these two people who have caused me to almost burst a blood vessel in the past ..... but it is what it is.
