Coyle Praise For Arsenal Pair

The manager of tonight's League Cup opponents has singled out Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey as players who are going to go on to be extra special.

Owen Coyle's men play host to Arsene's young Gunners in tonight's Carling cup quarter final. Coyle had watched the dvd of previous league cup games featuring Arsene's young charges and was so in awe of their talents, he almost turned it off.

"I watched their games against Sheffield United and Wigan, at one point I thought about turning it off because I couldn`t bear it any more. They are the yardstick for everyone who is aspiring to play a passing game." said the Burnley gaffer

"Four or five of that team will reach the very highest level, I am not talking about good international players, I mean beyond that.'

"Ramsey is unbelievable. At 16, the world is Wilshere`s oyster. The maturity they show is way beyond their years. I played with people for 15 years who were still not experienced in the game. These kids have that."

High praise indeed.

I really rate Merida to. I know in the Wigan game he was in and out of things a little but what I really like about him was he had that RVP like quality to have a very notable impact on things with a few moments of magic even when it clearly wasnt his best game. Ramsey, Wilshire, Merida and Vela all look the business.

Wilshere actualy scares me. It's quite freaky to see a 16 year old boy commanding such a presence on the football pitch. He seems like a skinny young lad, but it's amazing just how well he can protect the ball. His awarness is also outstanding.
Rocky7
He is on facebook and the boy has added himself to all of the Wilshere fan pages. LEGEND! I also like Merida for the reasons Ozi stated. But I fear for Randall, Hoyte and Simpson at Arsenal, but they will be good Premier league players.

I'm unsure if any player will actually make it (obviously some have more chance than others) at Arsenal, because you can never tell in football, anything can happen. But what ever does happen Wenger has produced some great great players who will go on to serve another club very well if not at our own. People fail to see that Wenger helps other clubs as well as our own with this outstanding academy.
Rocky7
Rock, if there is someone out there with enough time on their hands. How many players do you think have played at Arsenal befoire plying their trade elsewhere in the football leagues top to bottom? More than most I would hazard a guess.

Without a dount LG - Almost every team I can think of has an ex-Arsenal player in it, with the only possible exception of Man Utd. Off the top of my head.

**Without a doubt

Thought you were saying I was "without a donut" LOL!!! Mmmmmm! And a lot of these have been young British players who just weren't good enough for us, but were for others. Not just British, but all nationalities. Veyr little if anything is ever said by the media/press/opposition fans regarding this unique ability of his. As always it is the negative that is ALWAYS concentrated on.

Man I'm hungry now. It kinda water off a ducks back is all the negativey, but every now and again it would be nice for Arsene to be aknowledged for everything he has done for the game from people outside of the club.
Rocky7
Just had a fully loaded Sausage sandwich with egg and fried onions! That has killed the hunger for atleast another 2 hours!!! I wouldn't hold your breathe though, it is rarely if ever going to happen. No one in Britrain who isn't connected wth Arsenal really gives a ****** what he has done for us and for the English game.

Apart from Wilshere, I'm honestly not sure how many of the hoemgrown (i.e. excluding Vela, Ramsey, Fabi and Djourou) British kids will make it at Arsenal. But the most important thing's that the club have given a launching pad for these kids. I fully expect to see more Bentleys, Pennants, Upsons, Muambas, etc. (hopefully minus the Cashley-ness) in the top 2 flights.

(hopefully minus the Cashley-ness)??? GoonerLou. Do you forsee a bout of "lets play hide the mobile phone" amongst these lads in the near future Lou? LOL
