Let The Transfer Madness Begin
For the first time since the transfer window was brought in, I'm actually excited and tense about what it will bring for Arsenal Football Cub.
Usually the transfer window is nothing more than a bundle of hype, lies and disapointment. This one may be no different but this time there is a massive importance of what comes to pass and what doesn't.
Arsenal currently sit in the non-Champions League bearing 5th position and with a team that looks berift of confidence, creativity and passion. The Arsenal manager himself says the squad is thread bare, and every man and his dogs can see the wrongs that need to be righted.
We're barely into the first day of the transfer window and the rumours have begun in earnest.
Various media outlets (very questionable ones might I add) have already reported that Arsenal have tabled an £8Million bid for excellent shot stopper and often thorn in Arsenal's side, Newcastle's Shay Given.
Follwing on from last summer Andrei Arshavin's agent claims Arsenal are extremly interested on following up on last summers enquiries for the skilful playmaker, whilst Arsene Wenger has remained more than coy on the rumour.
Another growing rumour is that of a supposed bid for Everton's extremely experienced Mikel Arteta.
Peter Hill-Wood reveled that Kolo Toure's transfer request has been knocked back as Man City are reported to have show interest.
William Gallas has AC Milan keeping an eye on him, Gokhan Inler has once again become an Arsenal target according to some papers after saying he wasn't ready to move to Arsenal last summer.
St Etienne striker Bafetimbi Gomis is also an apparently on Arsene Wenger's radar.
All of these stories could be complete crap, some may have substance, others will be as flimsy as a Jose Mourinho alibi, but one thing is for sure, the madness has started.
Who would you like to see come in? Which player would you gladly pay for their taxi to the airport?
What do we need? What do you want?
Let the games begin.
