Arsene's Not Goin' To Sunny Spain

Arsene Wenger has rubbished rumours that he may be on his way to Real Madrid (again).

Not for the first time (or 101st for that matter) have one of Spain's two biggest clubs been linked with one of our prize assets in a transfer window, and more often than not the rumour coming out of La Liga turns out to be complete bullshit, and once again, this time is no different.

Speaking to Arsenal.com Wenger said his long term future is in North London.

"I believe I have shown my commitment to this Club," said Wenger. "I accepted when we built the new stadium to stay to commit my long-term future to the Club under restrictions.

"I don`t think anyone can doubt my commitment here. You can question my decisions and I accept that, but not my commitment.

"No [no one has spoken to my representatives], because I represent myself."

And there was me thinking he sent agent Juande to check out the city of Madrid.

I had to laugh when this rumour appeared - that Juande Ramos wasn't Real's first choice and some said that they wanted Wenger, others Benitez, to take over in summer for poor old Juande to lose his job again lol.. This cr@p piece of 'news' wouldn't have caught my attention otherwise.

And er does anyone else like the irony of joking about one of the most disloyal 'big' club on earth chasing one of the most loyal manager on earth?!
