Ro"sicky" doing light training according to sky sport news... hope he dosent get another set back. Anyone else think we should have got cudicini, got to be still better than almunia.

What's wrong with Almunia?????????? He very rarley let's us down!

Don't think Cudicini would be an improvement on Almunia, although not world class, as Navydave says, rarely lets us down.

I saw a good point made on Arsenal TV about Almunia. He rarely makes gaffs but at the same time does not win you games. So he will save what he should be saving, but never pull one out of the bag to earn you points over a season. I dont remember the last save he made where i thought, damn that was a amazing save. Seaman & Lehman both did. Seaman, Schmichael, Cech, Given over a season will gain you 10-15 points.

The other thing about Almunia that slightly troubles me is that he seems to make mistakes in big games. The CL Final, some howlers v Man Utd, he was culpable for goals against Chelsea and Liverpool this season. Lehmann turned it on in the big games, Cup Final 05 where he absolutely saved our hides, Villarreal, that awesome save from Solskjaer when we were 1-0 up in the last minute at OT. But Cudicini is a very error prone goalie, Given is a decent shot stopper but I've never once seen him come and catch a cross. He's also never been able to organise a defence in front of him. As for Rosicknote, Wenger has already confirmed he definitely won't play again this season, if he is training I suggest it's akin to fattening up a Christmas turkey before you eat it.

Rosicky should do the honorable thing and turn his wages in, ala Redondo. Absolute joke. Only one save that i though Almunia made that was world class was up at Blackburn, when we were 3-0 up, and when i saw the highlights, realised it wasn't world clas!! My favourite Lehmann was against Raul for pure GK ability, the one against Riquielme was pretty tasty n all ;-)
