Our-shavin's A Gooner - At Last

Arsenal have signed Russian play maker, Andrei Arshavin, at last, in the closing stages of this Janurary's transfer window.

The deal has been frantically thrashed out in the last hours to bring Arshavin to North London, bringing an end to one of the longest and most frustrating transfer deals in living memory (I feel like I've said that before).

The on-off deal came to a climax this morning after 'Double A' was pictured outside a Hertfordshire hotel this morning admist rumours the transfer was amost complete, then disaster struck as the player had apparently driven to the airport after talks apparnetly broke down.

However in a dramatic late twist the two clubs came to an agreement and Arsene Wenger got his man and thousands of Arsenal fans breathed a huge sigh of relief.

Vital Arsenal would like to welcome Andrei to North London and wish him the best of luck in his Arsenal career.

Oh F5 = Refresh? I didn't know that! Been using Ctrl + R this whole time! Darn, if only I had known this before this Arsh thing, and the Nasri thing, and the Baptista thing before that.

I knew it was going to happen so I was calm and relaxed. After Wenger mentioned AA one too many times in his post match interviews, it became bloody apparent. Why the big fuss about AA I still don't understand, spending 15 mil on a player nowadays is well short of a 'statement of intent'. I'm surprised that there is no CM signing as we still don't know the extent of Diaby's injury which leaves us with two relatively experienced CMs atm: Song and Denilson. Yes Nasri can play there and so can Ramsey but the first one opens up a spot on the wing (I don't expect AA to hit the ground running just yet) while the latter isn't ready for the big time, as seen from the Cardiff game. Even our back-up everything Eboue is injured. Nevertheless, interesting developments.
