Fabregas Gunning For April Return

Arsenal captain, Cesc Fabregas is hoping to return to action at the beginning of April.

Fabregas suffered knee ligament damage at the back end of last year in an innocuous challenge with fellow countryman Xabi Alonso.

However Cesc is well on the road to recovery and hopes to be back in action for the Man City tie at the beginning of April.

'The doctors have told me that in the next 10 days or so I can start touching the ball again,' he said.

'The most important thing is working on my legs to build them up, which will take another three weeks or so. Hopefully, in five or six weeks I will be back playing. I am looking at the Manchester City game on 4th April as a realistic comeback date.'

'The problem with this injury is that it is on my right knee and on the inside of the knee, and of course my game is a lot about passing, I touch the ball 120 times per game, so all of the time I am using that leg.'

'I have to make sure it is 100 per cent cured before I come back.'

We miss him with Song in the team.

Can't come back soon enough... Although AW calls Eboue a pass master... he just doesn't show it on match day.
Gael-Force
He never called him a pass master at all. Do you just read headlines?
Tom14
On the official arsenal website (ie Wenger's mouthpiece)... I am not making this up http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/wenger-eboue-is-becoming-a-pass-master
Gael-Force
I suppose he didn't say that in the article but i presume everything that appears on the website is ran past Arsene first... It's not like i picked it up from the daily mail.
Gael-Force
that article is ridiculous. Re-reading it made me laugh. Arsenal.com really takes fans for a ride.

His return will see you secure 4th spot
Thaibluefan
Are you sure, Thaibluefan? Just can't see it myself. I'm in complete agreement with LD here, we've been stuck in 5th place for weeks and our performances show we can't get out of it. No matter how poor Villa or Chelsea or Pool are, they stay in th top 4. And to believe that we'll just suddenly win every game in front of us assumes some bizarro world where we're suddenly a different team from what we've seen so far, and where we win against Chelsea, Pool and Man Utd at home. It'll be nice to have Fab back but it'll be too late to save our season. We'd better start thinking of a good UEFA cup run next season.

It takes idiot fans for a ride.

jaelle, if so, I hope we dont even make Uefa. Seriously, whats the points of that competition when it'll only be a distraction. we'll need to put all out focus on the league.
ian7
Get used to 5th spot? Nonsense. We'll pull it off with the return of key players. 2006 anyone?
