Bendtner Confident Of Revenge

Bendtner Confident Of Revenge

Arsenal take on Burnley in the FA Cup tomorrow only 3 months after losing to the Clarets 2-0 in the league cup.

A youthful Gunners team were soundly beaten at Turfmoor by an impressive Burnley display, however Arsenal weren't without their chances but squandered a whole host of clear cut efforts, the main culprit of which was current inform striker, Nicklas Bendtner.

Bendtner is still upset at blowing a couple of one-on-one chances but is determined to make amends at Ashburton Grove tomorrow.

'What happened in the League Cup against Burnley was bad. I was very disappointed with myself after that game,' he Bendtner.

'I had three clear chances - from which I should have scored two, if not three.'

'When your finishing is not as good as it should be, it annoys you - especially when we have six or seven one-on-ones and don't score any of them.'

'But it will be a new game, and if we get the same chances I am sure we will put them in this time.'

Would anyone bet against it? Not me.

Bendtner has got some confidence now, athough he will continue to miss chances, which is part of his learning process. Lets hope he can put away one or two against Burnley. Burnley did impress me in the CC but we should have a much stronger side out in the FA Cup.

Nicky has been impressing me for sometime now. His finishing and decision making will improve with time, what is important is he's getting in position and scoring some goals. I think it was LD who said look at any team in Europe and they don't have a 4th choice striker anywhere near as good as Bendtner. If he can be patient he can be huge for Arsenal.

With the exception of Intermilan maybe Rocky. But in general i am more than happy for him to be 4th choice, and in time maybe take Adebayors place

Certainly Paul, Nicklas has been far more impressive than Ade this season, even if the majority of our home fans don't want to recognise it!!

Hopefully Nik will score an early goal- I'm embarrassed to think what the reaction of the so-called 'supporters' at the Emirates will do if he misses a sitter. Too bad the extra 22,000 seats have been filled by idiots and corporate suits rather than true supporters of the club. I see the 'new' supporter as a clone of Myles Palmer- minimal knowledge of football but whiney and negative.
