'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bayern Munich Come To Fabregas' Aid

In the aftermath of 'spitgate', various people from various camps brought an incident from the clash between Arsenal and Bayern Munich way back in 2005 back into the public eye.

After people at Hull City claimed the Arsenal captain spat at Tigers assistant manager Brian Horton, Cesc Fabregas issued a statement ferociously denying the allegations. In his statement Cesc also said "I categorically deny that I spat at anybody after the match. I have never done this in my whole career on the pitch'

This comment prompted many people to unearth a solitary, grainy, youtube video in which you see the figure of Micheal Ballack sat on the ground following a foul from Fabregas. The Arsenal captain believed the contact to be minimal, and unhappy at what he believed to be 'simulation' Cesc lent over the felled Bayern player.

The entire incident was seen by the match official, and Fabregas was booked, indeed in his match report the referee cited the yellow card was for yelling abuse at Ballack.

No complaint was ever made by Micheal Ballack or Bayern Munich, and now BM director of communications, Markus Hoerwick, has come to the aid of Fabregas claiming 'It definitely never happened. If anything of that kind happened I would have been the first to be informed and the first to do something about it.'

Apparently a reporter who interviewed Ballack after the game also said he didn't make any claim against Cesc and no such claim has ever been made by anyone directly involved. A spit in the eye of those partisans groups keen to justify their bias.

The hacks in your press won't allow the truth to stand in the way of their xenophobia induced hatred of Arsenal and its players.

If some little things can tell you "what a club is all about", this could be it - Bayern have the class and honesty to tell the truth whereas some people at some club...

On Talksport, they mentioned this but STILL claimed it didn't clear it up! They wondered why Bayern didn't say anything for the previous 4 years while the vid was on the net but only came out now to clear Cesc's name. How stupid, why would they come out before when there was no issue in the media? Talksport say Cesc will only be proved innocent when Ballack comes out and clears Cesc. Obsurd! This, the pics of Wenger shaking Brown's hand, them changing their story etc just shows how truthful Arsenal ghave been in this. So as Mr. Mustchin says..Case Closed.

Why should Ballack come out and deny something that he hasn't ever claimed happened in the first place?

I would like to deny that Cesc ever spat in my face, he had a cold and sneezed unexpectedly in my direction and some nasal mucus accidentally flew towards my person. I do not deny wiping my bum with the Daily Mail and I do not deny fantasising about using Adrian Durham's face as a tennis ball.

LD, to be fair to Adrian, he was on Arsenal's side on this matter. One of only two (Wrighty included) who were not moronic enough to just go. Phil Brown - English, Fabregas - Spanish.
