Superbwork from the tv director ... had me sh***ing my pants. I remember almost crying as the ref gave the crappest penalty, I was sure we'd lose if they scored, and then the greif turned to exctasy as our crazy German booked us a place into our first ever final. I hugged the tv for like ten minutes. Just make sure you dont show the Lehmann highlights from the final!! lol

Campbell makes a really important touch on the rebound to take it away from their players too. I just remember thinking I'd wasted the money I'd spent on travel arrangments for Paris.... then shere elation!

Will never forget the joy of that night and that fantastic run in Europe that year. IF ONLY the mad monk had kept his head in Paris we'd have had that trophy that night I know it.

I love how Toure etc really want to stop to celebrate, but Jens tells them to concentrate and get on with it. Show his team spirit, although he's crazy he wants nothing more than to win. That's why he brought down Eto'o in the final, he just wanted to do anything to stop him scoring, just didn't have time to think about the consequences.

Yeah, Rob, that's the biggest thing I noticed -- Jens' total refusal to celebrate and his unrestrained shouting to his teammates to get their heads back into the game! I know we're supposed to blame him for the final's unhappy ending, but I just love our crazy German. He and Pires are the two Arsenal players for whom I have the most passionate attachment to.
