Anelka - Chelsea Are PL Failures

If we are to go by the logic of former Arsenal striker, Nicolas Anelka, then Chelsea have been complete failures in the league in recent seasons, whilst the Gunners have been a success.

In a bizarre jab at the Gunners, Anelka claimed that the aims of Arsenal football club do not harbour ambitions of Premier League glory, but only of securing Champions League football, which apparently differs enormously from the ambitions of his own 'mega club'.

'Chelsea are a mega club composed of top players, within which you have to win every game because you are under massive pressure,' said the Frenchman

'You have to win week in, week out. It is different from at Arsenal. There is a context surrounding the club because of the chairman Mr Abramovich that makes people speak about Chelsea more than about Arsenal.'

'Arsenal are composed of young players, aiming for third or fourth place, but we do not really speak about them for the title.

So considering Mr Anelka's comments we can presume that Arsenal consistently hitting their marks whilst Chelsea, in recent seasons, have become complete failures? 'Massive pressure' getting to them?

TBH, the less this disloyal, greedy little gimp says the better. We saw his best years anyway and that was some time ago...9 clubs in 10 years tells the whole story.

He doesn't usually say much does he? Not hard to see why. Having spent around £800m over 5 years I guess that they should expect to be under 'massive' pressure to win every game - £800m of pressure at least. Not that Anelka feels under pressure to deliver full value to anyone other than himself.

lol 800 million? That's a little far fetched... and a medium sized club? A medium sized club that has finished above your big club for the last 4 (pending 5) seasons? A medium sized club that has won a trophy in the last 4 seasons where your massive club hasn't? I think it's a little incorrect to call us 'average sized'.
