Arsenal v Chelsea Team Lineups

Arsenal v Chelsea Team Lineups

Brice was busy with school work and I was busy with mom and grandma today. Sorry about the lack of a match preview. Here are the team lineups:

The most interesting absentees are Almunia and Arshavin, while Adebayor, Djourou, Bendtner, Denilson and Eboue are left on the bench.

Arsenal
Lukasz Fabianski; Bacary Sagna, Kolo Toure, Mikael Silvestre, Kieran Gibbs; Theo Walcott, Alex Song, Abou Diaby, Samir Nasri; Cesc Fabregas (C); Robin Van Persie

Substitutes:
Denilson, Aaron Ramsey, Johan Djourou, Vito Mannone, Emmanuel Adebayor, Emmanuel Eboue, Nicklas Bendtner

Chelsea
Petr Cech; Mikel, Alex, John Terry (c), Ashley Cole; José Bosingwa, Michael Essien, Frank Lampard; Florent Malouda, Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka

Substitutes:
Branislav Ivanovic, Franco Di Santo, Michael Ballack, Salomon Kalou, Juliano Belletti, Henrique Hilario, Michael Mancienne

don't know why anyone expects anything else - we have no end product - wasted chance after wasted chance - our team consist of a bunch of good players - not enough world class. 4th is the best we can hope for every season

Let's not turn this into yet another summer thread - we have other places in the forum for that. The 1st and 3rd goals were bad luck. But buildup =/= goals. I feel like we're watching the Arsenal of 2006-07.

Thing is, Chelsea haven't even done anything exceptional to be in this position.

This is the sort of game that screams out loud for AA, and I'm screaming too.

Exactly Vin, that's why I wouldn't call this one an 'embarrassment' as the guys are suggesting in the match thread in the forums. There's performance and there's scoreline. At least we're trying hard despite going 3 goals down, something that we didn't do enough against ManU.
