On the eve of one of the largest football matches of his career, one would think that Man Utd's Patrice Evra would be concentrating on the task in hand rather than carrying on his whinge over some rough house treatment he received from Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas.
Evra was the recipient of some rather tasty tackles in the Premier League match between Arsenal and Man United at Old Trafford after the Frenchman baited the Gunners claiming it was 'men against children' in the Champions League semi-final in which The Red Devils wiped the floor with Arsenal.
Eva had his say directly after the game, but a couple of weeks later ... he's still wittering on.
In a bizarre rant that could, and should land him in hot water with the FA, Evra clearly aims a threat towards the Arsenal captain that makes him sound, rather ironically, like a schoolchild.
'If it amuses you to hit people, you do boxing, you do taekwondo, whatever you want. But you don't play football.' sobbed Evra
' We will see each other again off the pitch and there will not be a referee to give me a red card.'
'I was really disappointed. Everyone understood that he wanted to hurt me. It was because of what I said after the Champions League semi-final: 11 boys against 11 men.'
'I said it and I thought it. But in this world, as soon as you say what you think then you are seen as arrogant.'
