Sagna Refutes Real Madrid Rumours

French right back Bacary Sagna today joined an ever growing list of Arsenal players who have spoken out against transfer rumours linking top Gunners with moves away from North London.

Cesc Fabregas, Gael Clichy and now Sagna have all quickly dispelled rumours of moves to Real Madrid just as quickly as they have materialised as another run of the mill, bollocks filled summer gets in to full swing.

Speaking with Arsenal.com Sagna stated "I have seen the quotes attributed to me in the French media today and I just want to put the record straight. These comments are not accurate and I`m not aware of any speculation linking me to another club. I am 100 per cent committed to Arsenal.'

'This is a great Club and I`m proud to wear the shirt. I`m looking forward to returning for pre-season training in July and preparing for the challenges that next season will bring. We have a great squad of players at the Club and I know that we can achieve something together at Arsenal, my focus is nowhere else."

Bacary Sagna quickly established himself as a firm fans favorite at Ashburton Grove, and his rumour quashing antics will only serve to strengthen that relationship.

Yes respect has to be earned and Bacary's making me respect him even more by showing respect for the club and fans. If some people don't agree with my opinion that we've got the best pair of full-backs in the league, I think we've got the most respectable pair anyway.

Lucky Sagna isn't in Togo this summer, where apparently.....ah *********, I can't be arsed to make that joke again.

Cesc, Clichy, and Sagna are model players for the club. This is how you respond to transfer speculation. Not by getting an inflated ego.

It's excellent news that these three players have come out and stated that they are going no ware, now if only we could get Ade a transfer to somewhere else...............................

Why didnt they just let the stories run and run and then force the club into an inflation busting payrise like Ade-Beyonce? Whats the world coming to when footballers are behaving like decent human beings?

Its a disgrace, its a disgrace.

Great interview here of Arsene (note the interviewer refreshingly asking some good questions) - http://goonertalk.com/2009/06/16/video-arsene-wenger-on-football-style-barca-more/

Maybe if we stopped running down Beyonce's loving admirer, Real Madrid would be offering us bucket loads of money right now. Ade's situation is particularly annoying. We all agree he should go, he wants to go, but it seems like nobody is keen on taking him! Has anyone shown Perez clips of Ade's goal at El Madrigal?
