Tommy Gun Glad To Be Firing

Tomas 'Tommy Gun' Rosicky has revealed his delight after grabbing his first league goal in the read and white of Arsenal.

The Czech Republic captain has scoed for Arsenal in both the FA Cup and the Champions league but before the 85th minute against Wigan, he hand't yet found the net in the league.

Speaking to Arsenal.com after the (deserved) victory over Wigan Rosicky said: 'So I have finally experienced it,' said Rosicky on his official website.

'This goal against Wigan came at the right moment as the last time I scored in the league was in May 2006 when I scored for Dortmund against Hannover.

'Since that time I have been struggling to score.

'Of course I have been scoring for the national team and for Arsenal in other competitions but I needed badly to score in the Premiership as well.

'I can now be twice as happy as I scored with a header which, as far as I can remember, has never happened before.'

Great job Tomas, thoroughly deserved his goal. I hope he scores many many more!

He had a great game all round. He is settling in nicely now.

makes me all the more excited about next season - the only real question mark of anyone leaving is jens - all our outfield are looking like they will play together next season, the link up between fab/th14/rosicky/clichy on the left and fab/hleb/eboue on the right will only get stronger, and van p the 1 man scoring machine will be firing on all cylinders
bootoo
Too true bootoo (hehehe), Clichy was superb again yesterday.

The first of hopefully many for you!

It is something that arsenal as a team need, a goal scoring mid fielder, and atleast I was lookinmg more to Rosicky than Hleb for goals. Here's to hoping Rosicky's settled into the Premiership, and this is the first of many.

I still think we could use a left footed midfielder, so someone making a run on the left can hit a cross into the area on the fly instead of backtracking. But it's not like I have an issue the team the way it's currently setup...and the resiliency they've shown this year in so many comebacks is astounding for a team as young as they are. Stands us in good stead for the immediate and distant future.
Shinobi
ive been very impressed with him so far, has a good eye 4 goal!
