'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vital Arsenal Forum Watch

There`s plenty going on in the forums at the moment. A hot topic has been the concession of late goals even when a few goals in front. The 'Clean Sheets` thread in the Debate and Analysis forum argues the importance of clean sheets while revealing that Wenger`s sides are defensively more sound on average than Graham`s teams of the late '80s and early '90s.

Goalkeeping issues with Manonne`s recent run of games allowed the 'Official Goalkeeping Thread` to continue its appraisal of Almunia`s role in the team and the options we have with Ozi Gooner expressing the forthright view that :

"Yes, he[Almunia] may be the best we have at the moment, but the fact that he is the best we have is unacceptable".

New member walfab has opened a thread asking "Do we need new signings in January" while Diaby`s enigmatic performances in the absence of Denilson has invited plenty of opinion with iceman10 offering a considered view of his potential value:

"Diabys main flaw is over confidence. He thinks he can do what he wants in whatever area of the pitch he chooses because of his ability and power, that`s why Wenger never used him in the middle of the park until we recently switched to a 4-3-3. Add to this his debatable work rate and you can see why he frustrates many including me. I basically think when on it he is capable of a type of power and directness we don`t have in this squad."

The Transfer Rumours forum examines a number of players linked with the club and also potential departures with the Open Terrace forum considering issues as diverse as Barca`s financial strength and the perennial diving debate. It also contains the most entertaining thread as nikolaijns invites us to help our London neighbours with suggestions for the naming rights of their stadiums.

The Match Discussions forum contains views of games before, during and after the fixture. What are the prospects?, how are we doing?, good or bad performance? All manner of considered, analysed and dissected opinions are expressed here.

There`s enough to get your teeth into so take a look inside and lend your weight to the debates or open your own thread on a topic or issue you wish to see discussed.

Damn i just saw RVP taken off against Italy. He looked in a lot of pain
paul_ownz
Saw it too; gutted. And all that for a meaningless Friendly. It does look like an injury that will take time to heal, too.

they're saying maybe 2 months out with torn ligaments in the ankle. i cant believe its happened to us again with these time-wasting friendlies. now we're without NB, CV, & RVP. hope eduardo can step up in their absence. i guess every team has to deal with injuries.

Seriously .... just get rid of these pointless meaningless friendlies. No-one cares about them anyway. Just when he was in the form of his life too.
