Arsenal vs Bolton: Postponed

Arsenal Football Club has announced that the vital Premiership clash between Arsenal and Bolton has been called off due to 'adverse weather conditions'.

By adverse weather conditions they mean it's been snowing like a bastard and in true British fashion everything has crawled to a halt.

There's not much else to say other than 'bugger'.

Ballbags. Well the dad in law was snowed in so it's great for me, we can still see the game when it gets re-scheduled.

Also, quick mention to talk sport who said the game was cancelled because our players are scared of the cold. What a prat.
Gunnerman
Yes because Arshavin has never seen a bit of cold weather before. Bell Ends.
Rocky7
Well atleast it gives some players a couple of extra days off, although I really wanted us to win and put some real pressure on chelski
DBerg
Just saw some guy on SSN say "Thank you Mr. Wenger for not telling us the match was canceled before making the long trip down from Bolton".
gunnerkid107
Yep it's all Wenger's fault that the Copenhagen talks turned out to be too lame to save the world too.
GoonerLou
Awwww, did the poor Bolton fans come all that way in the cold for nothing? Good.
Rocky7
shameful - Stoke got our match on last night!

If Wenger had his way he'dve happily played it behind closed doors in the form of water polo in Caledonian rd baths. He'll be gutted this isn't going ahead and will see it as the psychological upper ground dropped.

Must be the work of some Jobsworth health and safety officer. Whats the point of using under soil heating if their calling off games because the roads outside the ground have a bit of sludge on them? A far cry from the days when they used to come down to my school and offer free tickets for anyone who would help clear the snow! Trust SKY to find the only Bolton fans who actually bothered coming down to the game.

Easy to see that Wenger cannot be happy with this postponment, so I can't understand the comments reported above. Chelski must be breathing a sigh of relief because now, the psychological advantage to be gained over the top 2 has been lost. Well, back to the strategy room it is.

cud actually be a good thing, our injured players n da ones who got some knocks can recover n get some additional rest before the next game..
luckys_10
At least Carlton Cole will be available for the re-scheduled game :p
iceman10
lol id take gignac over him. ex chav, injury prone, flukey scorer..
luckys_10
In no way is Carlton Cole injury prone.

have you guys heard about the 6'8" Traore that plays for cfr cluj that Wenger is after? the news just popped up
naija_gooner
Fkn, i wants to see us move above those dirty Mancs already! But it's a game that Cesc and Song won't miss...

In the US NFL winter games in places like Buffalo and Cleveland are NEVER canceled. A few weeks ago two high school football teams played a final at Giants Stadium in the middle of a serious snowstorm. London's local authorities (I'm sure it's their fault, not the club's) need to get a serious grip about bad weather.

That would have put you into second, and they wrote you off, what do the media know.

*****in joke - w****rs at Islington council
shewore
sorry - but how the hell is 'F00k' a swear word? Since we're talking about jobsworths?!
shewore
Stating the obvious here but there really are some MORONS about. So by their reckoning, Blackburn, the Mancs and all those big hard rugby players are scared of the cold too?! Rubbish, it wasn't Arsenal called this game off. If ever there were 2 teams that wanted a game to happen it was Arsenal and City. The only ones happy about these postponements are United, Chelski and Bolton. Well and truly let off the hook. Grrr! Curse you jobsworths that bring the country to a standstill every time it snows. Idiots. The infrastructure in Britain is a JOKE.
