Sol Campbell To Play For Reserves Tonight

Sol Campbell will once again pull on an Arsenal shirt as he prepares to play for the Gunners reserves tonight.

Speculation has been rife that Campbell will re-sign for Arsenal on a free transfer after the Big English had been training with the first team at the training ground.

Now it appears as though Arsenal will put him through his paces in a reserve match in a move that one would assume would lead to a first team contract should things go well.

So is it a shrew business move, or Wenger trying to save a few quid .... maybe a bit of both?

As I believe you have pointed out in the forum Rocky, he has been training with the team for awhile now. So if Arsene has seen that he can still handle the premiership, then he'll sign him, simple as that.

I suppose we can't really comment on this until we how fit he is, and I suppose Arsene is in the best position to judge this. It's making me incredibily nervous though

You cant really lose out on a free transfer, and he cant be any worst than Silvestre at the back

Yeah Wenger might have made mistakes over the talent of players in the past but he won't sign anyone who he doesn't think is fit enough. Whether he can stay fit is another matter, but if he does sign, he will be physically fit. JT ... how is he a traitor? Well, how is he a traitor to us? lol

I don't know why you'd be nervous, Arsene's recent history with 'experienced' signings is quite outstanding... Arshavin, Vermaelen, Rosicky, Gallas, Hleb, Sagna, Eduardo
