Wenger Would Prefer PL Loan Spell For Wilshere
Arsene Wenger says he'd prefer Jack Wilshere to take a loan period to another Premiership club as Steve McClaren's FC Twente and today's opponents Bolton Wanderers duke it out for the temporary signature of Arsenal's wily Englishman.
The Arsenal manager has been looking to get Jack Wilshere some playing time recently, but with the injuries we have suffered and the seemingly massive importance on every game we play from here till the end of the season, Wenger seems reluctant to throw Wilshere in at the deep end.
Instead Arsene is looking to loan out the midfielder with a view to getting him some regular playing time that's without possible detriment to our own league ambitions.
Speculation had been reported that former England manager Steve McClaren was looking to take him to his Dutch side FC Twente, however Wenger seems more keen on him experiencing regular football in the league he intends to play in in the future.
'I've heard Twente are interested, but I would prefer Jack to play in the Premier League,' said Wenger.
'It is easier for us to observe him and come to the conclusion that he is ready to play for us next year.'
Wilshere had been linked with a move to Burnley, but the departure of Owen Coyle to Bolton saw the speculation change clubs with him. Coincidentally for Coyle, his first two games in charge of Bolton sees him face the team he'd like to borrow from.
