Gerrard Shocked By 'Crazy' Decision

Gerrard Shocked By 'Crazy' Decision

Stevie 'Bum-lick' Gerrard says that he was surprised that the bestest referee in the whole wide world, Howard Webb, missed Cesc's handball in the dying seconds of Arsenal's 1-0 victory at Ashburton Grove last night.

Gerrard claimed to be shocked that his good buddy Howard Webb, the bestest referee in the whole wide world, didn't see the Arsenal captain raise his arm in the wall as Liverpool looked to salvage a last gasp equaliser.

Despite the fact that the ball was nowhere near being in the area when it struck Cesc's arm (why are so called football pundits saying it should have been a penalty because Fabregas foot was on the line?) Gerrard labeled Webb's call to play on as 'Crazy'.

'The referee told the Liverpool wall in the first half that if anyone raises their arms above their waist he was going to give a penalty,' said the Liverpool skipper

'So for some crazy reason he didn't give it. He told me after the game he hadn't seen it.It was unbelievable and I can't believe he didn't see someone raise their hands in the wall. We know over the course of a season sometimes you will get decisions and sometimes you won't, but something so clear as that was hard to take, especially with the referee being Howard Webb.'

'I would say he is one of the best referees in the league so I am very surprised he didn't see it.'

I'm not entirely sure why Gerrard was surprised he'd missed it when he missed the the England midfielders blatent dive earlier in the game and the even more obvious dive a mere 2 seconds before the free-kick was awarded.

Gerard's a cheat, he's also stupid as the incident clearly took place outside the penalty area which means that it cannot be a penalty. How f***ing stupid are footballers? How two faced is Gerard also with his blatent diving all night that he got away with then moans when the referee doesn't give an incorrect decision? Wan*er.

Let him whine, he knows 4th spot hope has taken another dent and is scared.

100% agree. What i dont understand though is why Fabregas didnt just head it. If you look at it it was going straight at his head

It was an odd thing to do by Cesc because whilst he definitely wasn’t in the area, he was pretty damn close. One step back before the kick was taken and it would have been a penalty. It was an expert piece of judgement on his behalf. I wonder if he thought that a booking (and a therefore sending off) was worth it in order to stop the strike reaching Almunia?

Cese used his hand to protect his face. We see many players do that. Also, he was NOT inside the penalty box. Ask gerrard to stop barking, and to stop diving like a sissy.

SH, that's what I thought. I thought he'd decided to take a hit for the team to ensure the victory.

Good call, rocky. Gerrard is a ******** hypocrite and I feel no sympathy for Pool. That free kick should not have been given in the 1st place coz of his pathetic dive. Rafa and Gerrard are highlighting this only coz they know Pool was ***** poor on the night, and they need to talk about something else to deflect the attention.

Makes my blood boil how Gerrard seems to be repeatedly diving in every single f----g game lately yet the media refuse to demonize him the way they did with Eduardo.

Gerrard and Benitez dont have a case for penalty by any stretch of imagination. That said, I hope Pool maintain 4th place over Citeh. If City gets a CL spot, it would open up a whole new world of possibilities for them with regard to player recruitment. With insanely high wages and CL football on offer, even top notch players wont be out of their reach. Besides, pool fans are so much more cultured than some of the new city ones!

It doesnt matter where cesc's foot is, it is where the ball was and it was outside of the area, it should have been free kick and howard missed it, ah shame, like he also missed the blatant dive by Gerrard just before the kuyt went down (also very easily). But oh well, we didnt get a penalty when Hleb was hacked down and they got one when Toure brushed some diving scouse git, game over get over it, we won..............
