Vermaelen: We'll Do It For Rambo

Vermaelen: We'll Do It For Rambo

Thomas Vermaelen has vowed that he and his Arsenal team mates will do all they can to win their remaining Premier League games and bring the title back to the Gunners for the 14th time, and they'll do so for their team mate Aaron Ramsey who, I'm sure nobody needs reminding suffered such a horrible injury on Saturday last.

When the injury occurred Vermaelen was one of the most visibly shaken, pictured immediately after the incident with his head in his hands, he could clearly be seen walking away, shaking his head, mouthing the words 'fuck me'.

However distraught Thomas looked, the hard man was mentally tough enough to put it to the back of his mind and finish the task in hand, and even scored his 9th goal of the season.

The Gunners centre back now wants to win a league winners medal for his friend and team mate, Aaron Ramsey.

'I saw the tackle and I heard a strange noise, afterwards, I saw his ankle. It was not nice to see, especially when it's a team-mate.' said the Verminator

'We have to win every game now and we will do that and will do it as well for Aaron.'

And you know what, with his focus and determination, I believe they will do it too.

I love this guy, he is rapidly become one of my favorite players ... is it really only his first season with us? Seems like he's been here for ever.

Has anyone since Adams deserved the No.5 shirt as much as this guy? Absolutely a favourite of mine and absolutely barn-storming signing by Mr. Wenger. Embodies the club on so many levels.

I think Adams wore no. 6 for Arsenal and Keown wore no. 5 (before that it was Bouldie)

I know that i shouldnt be on her but this guy is a real class act, on and off the field. A model proffesional, and in my (usually biased!) opinion player of the season! Shame he doesnt play for us! Ha Ha!

I am tempted to get the TV5 shirt next but don't want to jinx him. He is one tough mother*****er.

Hard as nails, great defender, good in the air, bangs in a few goals, technically accomplished and to top it off a genuinely top bloke. TV5 mate, take a bow - fantastic signing. Becoming more and more of a favourite of mine as the weeks go by.
