Super Nick: 5 Wins To Be Champions

Nicklas Bendtner claims that five wins out of Arsenal's last five games in the 2009/10 season will see them crowned Champions.

When the big Dane came back from injury he boldly claimed that he could fire us towards our first league title in 6 seasons, and to be fair, Bendtner, more than most, is responsible for us still being in with a shot at the Premiership, and now he says five wins, and the title is ours.

'You look at the fixtures and you say Manchester City and Tottenham but all five of them will be just as hard because we need all the points in all of the games, if we win the rest of the games we will be champions.' said Super Nick

We have good players and we have good belief. We won't get a better chance to do it than what we have now.'

We all have to believe right until it's no longer mathematically possible to win the league that we can do it, but winning all five games and hoping Chelsea drop points in two of there last four games is a huge ask, and I'm certainly not getting overly excited.

In all honesty the league probably went away from us with the calamitous goal conceded in the dying embers of the match at St Andrews (not to mention with the lino bottling the penalty decision at Stamford Bridge last night), but if this particular season has taught us anything, it's that it's not over till it's over.

We start tonight at White Hart Lane against Spurs, if you're one of the lucky Arsenal fans not to have a ticket, please feel free to join in with the banter on the match day thread later this evening.

Im going to sing his praises because if I take the pi$$ out of him he will go and score a hatrick tonight!! I think he is a great player and has more than replaced Adebayor! He is also probably right in what he says 15 points would probably get you over the line hell the ways its going 12 might!! Ironically after tonight you guys will be supporting us for our next 2 games!!

True, NickyB has ensured that we're still in it (kind of). He's developed quite well this season, and I'm happy with his progress. WHilst his words seem overly optimistic to me, all this team can do is focus on our games, and go for all 5 wins. Tonight is going to be tough, despite injuries to both sides.

MY - If we win tonight I'll be cheering my arse off for Spurs this weekend, however if we don't win, then I'll save myself ... no use in cheering for the enemy in a lost cause ... lol
Rocky7
R7 you never know, you could lose tonight and still win it but it would mean us beating or atleast drawing with Chelski and u*****ed! To be fair I dont see you losing tonight tho!! Looking forwward to the game especially as its going to be my first 3D experience!!
MullerTheYid
I would always want Sours to beat Chelsea, unless that would be a disadvantage to Arsenal.
Little Dutch
LD - It's not that I'll want either one to win if we don't win tonight, it's that I just wont care. It will be game over without 3 points tonight.
Rocky7
Harry has said he'll take six points out of the next three. I hope he does, none against us and 3 against Chelski and United! I really don't know what to expect tonight. Both teams battered with injuries. I hate going to the lane but can't help but go year in, year out!
navydave
I woul dbe happy with that navy dave it would make for an interesting end of season anyway!!
MullerTheYid
I would prefer Chelsea to beat Tottenham unless it was a disadvantage to Arsenal, all day long.
shewore
I really don't think that we can win the league anyway. For me, tonight is just about beating 'that mob from down the road'. Nothing more, nothing less.
Cockney Rich
Not sure what to expect without Cesc, Song and Arshavin. If I had a wish, it would be for Eduardo to score a hat-trick!
Gooner_Vin
Agree with you Cockney Rich.... the league looks a little too far out of reach just because Spurs are crap anyway so wont beat Chelsea. Lets just enjoy giving them a good thumping tonight and make sure theres no chance of them soiling the CL by miraculously finishing in fourth place
lifeisagooner
Fair play lifeisagooner. All I want for the rest of the season is to see us win at WHL, see RVP playing and scoring again, and then watch Mr Adebarndoor kicked from pillar to post next week.
Cockney Rich
Plus Chelsea are getting all the luck right now. The offside goal against Man Utd, a missed penalty and sending off by Coward Webb in the FA Cup semi against Villa, and last night's two penalty shouts by Bolton. Considering all that, as much as I don't want to lose tonight, I'm fairly relaxed going into this game.
Gooner_Vin
Yeah the chavs are getting some rub of the green recently in the domestic comps.
LondonGooner
i fear the task is easier said than done!
Al Billy
alright, let the boos begin!
