Robin's Return Aids Arsenal's Odds

Robin's Return - Free £20 Bet

Saturday night's match between Arsenal and Man City has big significance for both sides, Arsenal are trying to cement their spot and chip away at the top two whilst City are going head to head with Spurs and Villa for the coveted fourth spot. The Gunners have an impressive home record to preserve they've won 15 out of 19 games at The Emirates including victories in their last five. So 10/11 on another home win looks to have value despite just being odds on, the return to full fitness of Robin Van Persie should add more quality to the front line and he'll be eager to make a point against Man City.

Injuries have hindered Arsenal all season and this weekend when Andrey Arshavin and Manuel Almunia were expected to return they miss out. But Alex Song could return to add some muscle in the centre of the field and Robin Van Persie should be fit enough for a starting place, he leads the first scorer betting at 4/1 and is available at 6/1 to score a penalty. He showed in his last two appearances that he has lost none of his touch whilst injured and will want to finish the season on a high before jetting off to the World Cup.

First Score Betting
4/1 Van Persie
9/2 Bendtner
8/1 Walcott
11/1 Nasri
11/1 Rosicky
12/1 Diaby
22/1 Eboue
25/1 Song

All the pre-match talk will be on the return of the former Arsenal players, two from the 'Untouchables' side Patrick Vieira and Kolo Toure come back for the first time in the light blue of Man City. Arsenal fans have yet to see Vieira at their new home and he'll be warmly received as will the ever reliable defensive stalwart Kolo Toure. Silvinhio also plays for Man City now although he may not make the squad on Saturday he's still fondly remember and Emmanuel Adebayor also returns.

After suffering defeat at Eastlands, Arsenal will want revenge at The Emirates and there record at home to City is good, they've not lost since Man City returned to the top flight in 2000. Last season Arsenal won this match 2-0 which is 9/1 to happen again. There are plenty of incentives for Arsenal to win this game and hopefully they will compensate for the loss of the missing players, even in the league match at Eastlands Arsenal managed to score twice. At home Arsenal average just over three goals again.

Correct Score Betting
8/1 Arsenal 1-0
9/1 Arsenal 2-0
7/1 Arsenal 2-1
16/1 Arsenal 3-0
12/1 Arsenal 3-1

19/2 0-0
11/2 1-1
9/1 2-2

4/1 for a player who has been out for 5 months ! Not much value in that. Might have a dabble on Nasri at 11/1, that is of course if he can be bothered !

I would like to know where Wenger willl play RVP, against spurs Bendtner stayed in the middle, will Wenger do the same?

If I watch this game, it will be thru occasional peeks thru my closed fingers in front of my face.
jaelle
Thats good enough Jaelle. Hope you get a chance in the game to jump up and down with your fingers pointed at Ade!
Deltaforce
No squad depth I want you to beat MCity but I think you may find it a bridge too far.

Given our MASSIVE injuries and based on immediate form, I'm surprised the odds on an Arsenal win aren't 20-1. Never thought I'd ever say THAT. This is a game I can't bear to watch.

What? So, all of a sudden, City have become the great big threat to The Arsenal at the Emirates? I'd imagine the players will be fired up for this game and should put up a good fight to make the fans proud.
Naijagunner
We'll give Citeh a good spanking, feeling strangely confident about this one. The players will be looking to make amends in a big way. Just hope we have Song and Campbell at the back and Fabianski isn't completely useless this time.
bowiecokemirror
I sincerely hope you're right Bowie, since we've just made a complete ***** up of our trip to the swamp (inevitably) ALL THE BEST ANYWAY.
Tony Rocky Horror
It seems some of the United players couldn't resist the dodgy lassagne in the dressing room.
gronedrone
Christ I feel dirty, I actually 100 % want the Arsenal to win. But as you have cheech and chong in defence, you no doubt won't.
