Campbell's Ready For The Call

Sol Campbell says he is ready, willing and able to answer the England call is it comes along, and according to Vital England this would probably be a good thing for England in South Africa.

Vital England says: The experience, and lets face it the quality he still has - which has been proven during his return with Arsenal, gives him every chance of doing this.

As I have previously said, with the likes of John Terry looking 'shaky' at times and Rio Ferdinand 'struggling' to stay fit, with the experience - and for me overall quality - of those in reserve there is every chance the 35-year-old could find himself in the 23 going to South Africa.

In all honesty the thought of turning to Campbell, over some of the options we could, would worry me much less, even though the thought of the guy returning to the international stage might have seemed nothing more than a pipedream not so long ago...

What do you think?

Sol is worth his place on the plane to South Africa for his performance at WHL alone. It's fair to say that he held us together that night, and put in an individual display in an Arsenal shirt, that was bettered only this season by Cesc against Villa. Well done Big Sol, hope you make the squad and hope to see you next season at The Grove.

The way Ledley King has been playing for the last few weeks and the first 80 minutes of tonight's match, I'd say he most deserves the spot to SA.

Where's Amos Totthering day my arse!

i hope he doesen't make the world cup cuz if we are going to give him a new deal, then i'd want him to get a good rest in the summer and then have a good pre season under his belt and be ready for the next campaign..
luckys_10
Sol is still good. King is King though

On a seperate note, I would like to thank the Arsenal fans including Rocky7 and Little Dutch who have offered their congratulations on the VitalSpurs site. Whilst the banter between our fans can reach rabid levels, the comments you Arsenal fans have left are much appreciated.

Think Sol may be waiting a long time.

I expect to see Campbell a lot on the telly this summer. They're making more of the chavs/tits/teethnboots drama 'Footballers Wives' and they need someone to match the scenery i.e. a bit wooden, doesn't move much, and like the viewers gives up at half-time.

Where are all the goons? Gave up the ghost probably. Abandoned the fight like scared rats. Done the trophyless two-step shuffle back to Woolwich with their tails between their legs.

No, seriously, Sulk Hole is a non-starter. We can't have him fumbling around, C-ampbling about the penalty area putting Lord Ledley off his stride. Besides, Ledders plays with super Daws and he would rightly consider it an afront to be forced to play with this dopey carbunkle.

Congrats to Spurs and their fans. A remarkable achievement.

"Done the trophyless two-step shuffle back to Woolwich with their tails between their legs." Bloody hell, how many times?! Of course I hate sp*rs, but I do respect what they've done this season. Nevertheless, you can't critisize teams for not winning trophies unless you have won trophies - or they've done a Real Madrid and spent £250m. It's really pretty simple.

TRH really loves us, doesn't he?

What did Spurs win this season? Don't say 4th place, because you lot have been telling us the Carling Cup is more worthwhile than that for the last four seasons now.

Seriously April the 1st was last month

LOL - as if........he can carry King and Dawson's kit bag possibly, thats the only way he'll be in south africa this summer
CGan1
Wenger's got a lot of clout with England, after all, he got Walcott on the plane at Defoe's expense last world cup. He may do the same with Judas at Dawson or King's expense, purely for selfish reasons.
