You Can Take Cesc But You'll Never Take Our Eboue

As the Cesc Fabregas transfer rumour rumbles on, The Mirror claims that we are about to be hit with a hammer blow to end all hammer blows.

If it wasn't bad enough that Barcelona are trying to steal our club captain and second best player, Cesc Fabregas, for what I would consider to be 'next to nothing', the Spanish giants are now considering a move for god himself, Emmanuel Eboue.

Rumour has it that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is livid at the public courting of Fabregas and has slapped a minimum value of 70 million for the Gunners skipper. Rumour also has it that Barca can't in anyway afford that price. So if they can't afford Cesc, how on earth do they think they can afford Eboue?

Maybe give us their entire squad and stadium?

YOU CAN TAKE OUR CESC BUT YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ....... OUR EBBBOOOUUUUUEEEEEE!!!

The same Eboue that you booed off the pitch against Wigan? Nice...
Shelfinduced
I did no such thing Shelf.
Rocky7
They can have Cesc for 20 and a Toffee Crisp if they leave Eboue alone.
Cockney Rich
Fair enough, you were probably in the minority.
Shelfinduced
How dare they?! Complete Blasphemy!! Have they no honour?!
True-Gooner-Blood
seriously no player is worth more than 50m im sure wenger would take that for fabregas. he could build 2 title challenging teams of under 20's with that amount.
black-messi
I think you'll find Eboue is worth four times that amount easily .... but you should know that, what with having your username named after Eboue ;)
Rocky7
Good that you lot are taking a strong stand against Barca. Fecking uppets, why do they get away with tapping up players so easily? It's against the fecking FIFA's laws..
JT_daniel
Dont think so Barca! Eboue's DNA is unknown to man
ajwb

LondonGooner
Thou shalt not covet Eboue.
sunaadh
I'm absolutely furious too! HANDS OFF Barca!! If 70m is the price tag Wenger put on Cesc, Eboue should be worth 700m! So Rocky's estimate of their whole squad plus Camp Nou sounds about right. :)
GoonerLou
err, Fabregas - our 2nd best player? I'd like to know our 1st best player then, if u dont mind..

A few of you seem to be missing the tongue in cheek nature of the article.
paul_ownz
shady gunna, our best player is Silvestre, didnt you know that?
Sajit
Shady will know be answering that question after being smited by the lord our Eboue.
Rocky7
Rocky's humor is a little too difficult for you to discern, isn't it Shelfinduced? // Anyway, hands off Eboue! They can take Cesc, they can take RVP, they can take Silvestre...oh wait. Well, we are the Arsenal and only WE have the right to say "you've just been Eboued!"
jaelle
On a serious note, Eboue has become genuinely valuable to us and I would be actually gutted if he went. How many players knuckle down after a booing (see what I did there?!) and still fight for the team. Eboue after Song is one of most improved players and he can still improve. Barca can go do one... We've come to see Eboue....
Keplaz
NO WAY! the most versatile player in our team, NO WAY!! He plays defence, midfield, and attack, NO WAY!!!
Arseniger
Did you guys see a Guardian article about how annoying Barca is as a club which keeps saying 'mes que un club' when they're such morons? The article itself isn't truly well researched and written, but I agree with the sentiments. Despicable club.
GoonerLou
Our Eboue? How VERY dare they??????!!! Bog off! As Arsenal Mania said the other day- Barcelona- mes que un club? Barcelona- more than a **** more like!
julieloveshenry4ever
Why is this a joke to so many of you? I would cry tears of sadness if Eboue left.
Tom14
If so, your estrogen levels must be awfully high...
RadioactiveD
Gooners never booed Eboue! They were just chanting his name in adoration: "Ebooooooouue!".
krismon1
Tom, I DON'T want Eboue to go- I love the guy. He runs his little heart out. How he coped with and responded to that disgraceful booing, means I have a major soft-spot for him AND he is an important part our squad now. So bog off Barca and I mean that sincerely!
julieloveshenry4ever
I understand all the Barca hate here but they've just done something very unique and admirable in the world of football player contracts: http://www.kickitout.org/news.php/news_id/4780
jaelle
Are players generally racist anyway?
paul_ownz
go to hell barcasum, Eboue will never leave anyways, hes our best player. You can have manuel butterfingers almunia though, let him go home
lukychmz
haha, what a quote " OU CAN TAKE OUR CESC BUT YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ....... OUR EBBBOOOUUUUUEEEEEE!!! " -- It's this man only whom u poor gooners were booing sometime back and who thought of leaving and then suddenly he became 'Our', sounds like he is ur new Messi-ah..........get ready for the 6th barren year!
the_blue_world
Don't respond guys. Not every single thread has to be reduced to a childish borefest of recycled lines spuds-style, especially when there's no quality banter on display, not worth it.
GoonerLou
nice ironic article....shame is he will be probably be your best midfielder once Fabregas leaves
CGan1
Eboue will burst into tears if he sees this thread and realizes the adoration that Arsenal fans have for him.Even my eyes are wet!
samuraisuraj
while arsene is fantastic at bringing in talent, he's not that great at shedding it when the time is right. is senderos still on the arsenal books? eboue should have gone as well... once sagna came in, he lost his place... he's not a great midfielder, he a good attacking right back...
woodysweats
Hell be going.
Uskok
I think Barca like the looks of another few as well.
