I was expecting Chamakh to start. Would have been useful in the physical battle. Anyways it's by and large our best lineup out there on the pitch today. Btw Song's hair is just brilliant!!
Yeah strange decision to not play our best aerial player (Chamakh).
Oh *****!! That was close. Orcs went to sleep there...
Manuel should have *****ted the spitting little ****....
Good save Almunia
Spurs away in the Carling Cup peeps!!!
Theo!! Theo!! Theo!! The boy is on fire!!
what a finish, love the little guy (",)
Koscielny should have done a lot better there
Agreed. He got shrugged off too easily. These wayward passes are really concerning me. There have been too many in this match.
Oh FFS!! RVP injured again by the looks of it...
Van Persie, it looks like we'll never get a full season out of him. Let's hope it isn't anything long term with Bendtner out also at the moment.
oh i do love these games! whats with the towel... and pederson is a cheat
Pederson is clearly a Rory Delap wannabe with that bloody towel. There are too many gaps in our defence and I have a horrible feeling that it will come back to bite us in the ass in the 2nd half. That being said, we are also looking dangerous when going forward.
Fluent goal. But Koscielny's slight figure was exposed again for the goal. I do worry for him. I wonder would he be able to cope with the likes of drogba/rooney etc?? Apart from that its been a fairly equal game. Should come out in the 2nd half and win it
It was never going to be an easy game, hope we can sneak a win somehow. Chamakh seems to have slotted in well since coming on. Arshavin needs to do more and it might be worth bringing Rosicky on with half an hour to go.
Might it be a good idea to play Squillaci in the more physical games perhaps? Kos is a good defender, just seems a bit lightweight though.
He really needed that goal. Was far too quiet this game. We need a third now. Bring on Ros just to try and push for the third.
I think the only way Koscielny is going to get physically tougher is by playing in these kind of games. I'm not too worried about him, it's very early days, he'll keep on improving. Fabregas doesn't look very sharp yet, definitely lacking in match fitness. Good finish from Andre, just need to concentrate and not get sloppy now.
Good win. Much better display in the 2nd half. 7 pts from 9. Excellent start.
Fantastic performance, all the players worked extremely hard, well deserved win
Walcott actually Burst The Net with his goal!!
Well done on your win guys. You were clinical and deserved the win but I hope you are gracious enough to note that we gave you a good game. Good luck for the rest of the season.

After all the hype I thought Blackburn played a clean game, they used all the advantages they could including that irritating towel bollox (unused in other leagues only used in the 'best' league in the world?). Goal we conceded was poor, Koz will be blamed but watch Diaby in the build up and how easily Samba walks past him, shocking. We were a bit lethargic at times and lacked killer instinct but 3 points and the type of performance that will give others a few things to think about also well played Manuel Almunia.
Almunia had a great game I agree, hopefully give him a bit more confidence. Theo was brilliant again, deserved MOTM. Wilshere looked quality when he came on, shame he couldn't score. Koscielny probably needs to work on his strength, but he had a good game apart from that one error.
Thanks Mikey, you guys played well especially in the first half. Phil Jones looks like a tremendous player, was very impressed with him again.
Both fullbacks had an excellent game. Sagna is without a doubt the best right back in England.
Since Arshavin scored after the ball came off Theo's bum, does it count as a assist ?
Make no mistake, this is a massive result early on in the season.
No thanks Mikey, considering how unaccommodating you were on your board, you're not welcome to ours. Our class shown through, hoofball loses again. Playing your CB as a CF just so you could play more long balls? how sad
By the way, what was with all the Blackburn diving in the box for that last 15 minutes? I thought we were supposed to be the 'soft' team.
Sagna was my MOTM, the man was everywhere
I agree with TP F off Mikey, you guys behaved like a bunch of precks on your board and some of your support were wishing for your players to rough us up and intimidate us. You had the usual Arsenal obsessed spuds stirring it on there but you shouldn't have sunk that low just because they did.
Sorry guys but when you come on our board with the insults (and don't even think for a second you are innocent here) then what do you expect? No hard feelings lads.
Mikey Delap
On RVP, Wenger reckons that its a short term injury. Pheww!
Theo is on fire. Great goal. Arsenal must be spoilt for choice with all the offensive players on the bench and out injured.

It's great to get Liverpool away and Blackburn away out of the way this early in the season.

This might be the season.
I think Theo's goal has to be a contender for goal of the month. I absolutely love goals like that. RVP controlled an untrollable pass from Arshavin and played a genius ball into Walcott first time. At first I thought the best Theo could hope for was a good cross into the box or a shot from a tight angle but the boy is so quick that he could touch into a good position and fire expertly in the bottom far corner. The premier league must be crap if its top scorer is an attacking winger without a footballing brain.
It was so refreshing to see us deal with all of the long balls/throws comfortably. Kos played superbly apart from the goal.
Wonder what scathing and completely unjustified criticism of Theo that *****er Alan Hansen will come up with later.
Koz wont be the 1st centre back to exposed when pulled out wide, didnt do much else wrong. The goal was a defensive mess from a team point of view.
Apparently Almunia threw the armband into the crowd and waved 'goodbye' at the end. Doesn't mean anything to me.
iceman is right. Every defender will occasionally get beat in that area of the pitch.
i think KOS may have been able to play the ball with his other foot, and knock it out for a throwin..instead of trying to win a race/battle
I remember Gallas being beaten in a similar fashion by Cahill last season, Koscielny will have learned a valuable lesson and I'm sure he will be better for it.
I think Kos had a decent game, nothing more nothing less. Apart from getting brushed aside by Diouf on the goal, he also surrendered possession numerous times when Blackburn pressed us high. I'm sure he will eventually be much better than he showed today - we need him to be much more composed when playing the ball out of the back - so we might to chalk this one up to him getting "acclimated"
*we might have to
As Keown was talking about how crap spurs were Wigan scored and the reaction on his face was priceless.
Just got back from Ewood Park. Well done lads for getting through a tough game, it's nice to get that one out of the way and collect the points. Almunia almost waved goodbye to us at the end. Any info ??
Cockney Rich
Rich -- Amunia waving goodbye is all that's going around the blogoshere, so your interpretation of it is probably better than ours... LOL @ spuds :P
TPowell, I was applauding the boys as usual. I was more focused on Cesc and Chamakh really. It was my brother really who pointed it out to us. He chucked his armband into our section, and I have never seen him do that before. He did seem to linger at the end and his waving was a bit excessive. I know the whole team was celebrating the win and appreciating our support, but Almunia seemed to have something different on his mind. Spuds got booed off apparently. Lol !!!
Cockney Rich
Just a guy's think we will see any trolls tonight after the spuds loosing to the mighty Wigan?
Armory, THR shows up no matter what but other than that they'll be to be busy crying themselves to sleep.
it'll be "interesting" to hear what hansen says on MOTD about Walcott tonight...
CR what was the score when your lot last played wigan 2 up with 10 min to go an lost 3-2 almost pricless, no doubt a result like we had will happen to you this season
Arshavin was also really good today and I don't understand all the stick he's getting from the Arsenal supporters. He's been involved in a lot of goals recently and has scored twice. And another word on Theo, today he didn't look out of place technically and best of all physcically. A few seasons ago he was too easily muscles of the ball and he tends to tire after 60 minutes. Glad to see he wasn't intimidated and put in a really good shift for the whole of 90 mins.
I guess I was wrong about you 123spurs, you did show some consistency in your trolling. I take back everything I said.
fair enough guys no more stupid so called trolling etc, this is good network site for fans to chat about our clubs an fun banter, so im here in genuine peace. sorry for all the s h i t, enjoy the rest of the season
123spurs sorry you are talking utter tripe there. This is a site with clup pages run by the fans of the clups and is supposed to be a forum were we can exchange views but I am sorry to say that not all site moderators will allow fair and robust exchange of views VS one of the culprits. I have more than once had my comments deleted there and let me tell you I NEVER use racist or other vice derogatory remarks about fans or players at the worst I call you spuds and that is hardly a reason to have your remarks deleted. It is simply when the VS is in full flow of whining and moaning that the fans there simply cannot take a little p* take.
Great win for the team today. Its a good omen to win at blackburn especially on a day when blackburn brought their A game to the table. No dirty tackles though and thats to be mentioned to their credit. I thought Fat Sam was surprisingly gracious in his post match comments and for once it looks like the baseball cap wearing cretin Pulis is our enemy no 1 among managers.
Ahaha S**rs .. AHAHA Wigan? Wigan? WIGAN?!
Why cant Almunia play like that every week? He did well. Who else thinks we wont see RVP until December? I have heard Wenger say 10 days before and he meant weeks.
A fair result guys - you deserved the win. Close though... whats Wenger going to do this week, he'll have nothing to moan to the media about!! And bloody hell Deltaforce - starring Chuck Norris - you gave us a compliment... I don't know what to say!
I'd say his whinging paid off nicely. Before Theo's opener Pedersen took his long throw into the box and Almunia was impeded and took the ball out for a corner, if Foy hadn't of called a foul then it would of been your corner and not resulted in an Arsenal goal. Well done Arsene, who says only Mourinho and Fergie can play mind games.
Ozi Gooner
Freidel, I call it as I see it. My beef is not with your club, harmless as it is nor its fans. It is with your current manager.
