There is only one Van der Vaart! Only one van der Vaart!

cesc la vie
Yes - that would be the one rejected by Real and cleared out in the summer sales after 'arry was conned into thinking someone else had offered £18m for him.
Amos.
It's exactly the same Arsenal squad we would have put forward even if the new rules hadn't been put in place. Most PL teams in the recent past will only use something like 26-28 players over a normal season and there'll always have been a handful of youngsters amongst those.
Amos.
I think Arsene has just made a mockery of the new squad rule.None of the 20 selected are English. And the thinks the new squad rule is gonna help English football??....hahaha....absolute mockery of the new rule by Arsene
Eboue=GOD
I meant "the fa thinks"

Did Somebody Van der Vaart? No......Just the lingering smell of spurs in the West hame away changing room then.

Didnt you lot sign Squillaci? You want to fire the man who does your polls!
2_Dare_is_2_Do
My word! Is this an English club?

'Cesc Fabregas, Johan Djourou, Niklas Bendtner, Alexandre Song, Vito Mannone, and Perka Denilson - Do these names sound home grown to you?' was a post a Spurs supporting friend of mine put up on facebook/ twitter today. All i seem to be doing is arguing with people about Arsenal at the moment! lol!

Depends what you call home - our home is the world! Spuds aren't so English that they could find a place for Woodgate.
Amos.
What I find hilarious is how so many Arsenal haters, pundits, spuds, etc. were so smug about this rule, really believing it would hurt us. If they'd been paying attention, they'd have noticed that gooners were not in the least worried. To see today how everyone of them is shocked! shocked I tell you that the rule didn't hurt us at all - how AW once again showed them for the clowns they are, it's just too wonderfully satisfying! And btw, AW very often tries to bring in established English players from other clubs but can't ever get them because the owning club refuses to sell or demands an excessive price for the player way beyond his worth. For example, AW tried to get Jagielka but Everton wouldn't budge.

We couldn't even stump up 25 players to stand against this rule, it was never going to hurt us. Silly billys.
Rocky7
In other words, says Arsene Who?, "...I'll play English players when I deem them good enough, not when you tell me to. Like has always been the case..." And that's how it should be.

Where is Adebayor?
Uskok
Welcome back from your 2 year long expedition to the Moon Uskok.
Deltaforce
it was quite obvious this was never going to hurt arsenal, does anyone know which clubs have been affected by the new rules?
gunner10
We've got an endless supply of young players! Whoa! Almost thought i was reading the roll call of a secondary school. Up gunners
shady gunna
And btw, we really, really really need to either take down or update our poll.. Its the least Squillachi deserves!
shady gunna
Haha, 76 players ...is that the biggest? Also like gunner10, i'd like to know is this dumbass rule actually did affect any clubs?
FuiKaka
How long until this rule is scrapped ? Next season ? The season after ? I think that it is a step towards the right direction, but a million miles away in terms of correctly addressing the ' problem ' as it were.
Cockney Rich
LD - I just changed the poll as per the request of some members as it was showing the old one, then when after I'd finished updating it it show the one you'd done, and then the new one. Didn't know you'd changed it bud. Apologies.
