Adebayor - As Stupid As He Looks

Adebayor - As Stupid As He Looks

Emmanuel Adebayor has bizarrely claimed that a run of ten wins in a row for Manchester City would see them become a bigger club than his former employers, Arsenal.

In the latest weird and bitter outburst from Ade since he was unceremoniously dumped from the North London outfit, the Man City striker revealed his bizarre opinion that a handful of wins would see City become a larger football club than one of England's most decorated football teams.

'With the great new players we've got we have a wonderful chance to make history. But it's all about results.' Said Adebayor

'If we can win ten games in a row, people will class Manchester City as bigger than Arsenal.'

So 11 more league titles, 6 more FA Cups, 1 more European trophy, a larger stadium (built and paid for by our own club) the longest run of any team bar Everton of sustained top flight football, 13 consecutive seasons in the Champions League and one unbeaten season are effectively wiped clean because City won ten games on the bounce?

If you say so bud!

He's obviously been asked a loaded question and didn't want to upset his current employers. He just wasn't subtle enough to do that without making him self sound like a lunatic

He doesn't get paid all that money to just warm the bench at Citeh, talking smack about his former club is also in the job description.

Ade ain't the sharpest tool in the box I'll admit, particularly when a journo wants him to provide a controversial soundbite, but suspect this is being blown out of proportion in the same way John Lennon's "Beatles Bigger than Jesus". Still, nice to see the player you all hate still has the capacity to get under your skin so easily. ;)

Not really FCB - Just there's so little to talk about in the international break that we'll take any topic we can get our hands on .... no matter how stupid ;)

He's got an incredible ability to irritate. Quite a few of the comments he's made since becoming a city player have riled me. His ego is the size of a small planet.

Indeed Sky Blue, it wouldn't be so bad if he actually took part in any improvements City have made on the pitch. He's just talking for talking's sake.

Shouldn't Ade have said " If THEY can win 10 games in a row " and not " if WE " ? That mug isn't in the City first team for a very good reason. It's the same reason that we sold him, thank God.

The guy is a quality footballer and on he made a decent return goals wise for us last season, but I also see why you gunners thought he was a bit of a ****, he is after all a bit of a gob *****e.

regardless of him being a fruitcake and a bit of a tosser, i think the point made is football is about results, not about history! Which is not so controversial. The interviewer made it about arsenal....
