Disappointed no start for JET, but that's a very strong lineup and will destroy the tiny tots. It's seems the tables have turned on the youth philosophy for this one.

Had Vermaelen not missed the Sunderland game I'm sure Squi would have played this one. Almunia on the bench because the manager didn't want to rank Mannone higher than Wojciech or vice versa in my opinion. Lansbury and Jet are the only players who haven't been in and around the first team. I suspect Kos Djorou Gibbs Eboue in defense. Vela to lead the line. Denilson playing the Song role. I haven't a clue about the rest. Who will play the Cesc role? Wilshere, Rosicky, or Nasri?. Will Eboue play in attack or midfield?

The side we have put out is a good one. Only concerned about the lack of physical or aerial presence up front with Vela having to go it alone up front supported by Nasri and occasionaly Rosicky. Would have thought JET would make it ahead of Lansbury because of his versatility up front.

Good performance from our boys, should be 2-0 and have a penalty, but such is football. It's fair to say we have a really strong squad, considering we made 9 changes from the weekend and we had van Persie, Bendtner, Walcott and Vermaelen out for that game also. This should firmly put to bed the myth suffered by some Spurs fans that they have a better squad than ours.

I think Kos is turning out to be a gem of a buy, "light weight" that he is. Has perfect timing, almost psychic in the interceptions he makes; and in the air, a monster, for such a wiry man.

Not at all Yidpondan, I don't think any Arsenal fan excused the 5-1 defeat, even I didn't like Arsenal that night. Anyway back to tonight, it suddenly feels like we've got lots of first team players? Rosicky is back, three new signings, Wilshere, Gibbs stepping up to the first team, plus we have Theo, RVP, Cesc and Verminator injured. At times last season Pat Rice and Wenger were considering lacing up, so this is a welcome change.

only bad thing about Koscielny's performances is that he'll be called away to the Arsenal killers known as international football. He's better than both Gallas and Abidal at this point, that's just a fact.

From the official Arsenal Dot Com: "Shall we make a DVD?’ sang the away fans – a reference to Tottenham’s habit of releasing collector’s editions of wins (or even draws) against their local rivals." haha

123, Sandro (who I was very interested in seeing in this game) played like how I expected. He's a major pain-in-the-ass in midfield, creates nothing, is ruthless and dirty and rotten to the core and knows how to disrupt opponents using every sly trick he can. It's why his former club Internacional love him, and why Mano (the national team manager) chose him. I think he'll adapt well to England but he'll get you lots of bookings.

Well played, Harry was really asking for that. I can't believe how little respect he showed. I must say that was a tad embarrassing at least you gooners aren't the type to rub our noses in it......could be a long day tomorrow ;)

123 I think Sandro looks like greg fockers love child. Wilshere quite frankly murdered him.

Denilson showed how overlooked he is by the brazilian national squad tonight. His passing and defensive work was near perfect.

Biggest away win in a NLD since 1978 (we beat them 5-0 at WHL back then).

Bentley is awesome, surely only Adebayor can beat him to World Player Of The Year. This particular award is merited on ego.

My 3 year old watch his first NLD with me tonight. He sat there saying "Awwwww Arsenal" every time a shot went wide or one of our players was tripped. "Come on Arsenal, go the right way" every time the ball was at our end. Unfortunately he couldn't stay up for the whole games because, well, he's three. We'll watch the highlights together in the morning though :)

TP makes a good point, sooner or later the French are going to call him up which is really annoying. He's been our most consistent player since the international break.

Good thing is Lucky, I'm not doing any such thing. He's free to do what he wants, I don't do anything to encourage him to like the Arsenal, he just does. He sings "Robin van Persie" and "Super, Super Nick ......" (He wanted Nicklas Bendtner to win the World Cup) .... only trouble is he still thinks Adebayor plays for Arsenal and sings for him too. lol

It's great isn't it. I love watching him get more and more enthusiastic about football. He likes to play too. I'm not going to push him into anything, but he looks like he's got a great right foot. Maybe he can get a game in the Carling Cup next season.
