Looking forward to seeing Douglas Costa in addition to Eduardo
jaelle
We love you , Eduardo..
Sajit
Abou and Andrey are rested, and normally Gibbsy would play this kinda of a match but I dont think it Wenger would want a complete reserve back four. I expect Jack to play the full 90, Cesc to play 60 and Chamakh to be rested for Bendtner. Probably a late cameo by Theo too.
gronedrone
Fab with all this time out and he's coming straight in to start? Don't really like that to be honest
TPowell
Agree with TP, not sure about starting Cesc. Fingers crossed....
GoonerLou
We should sign that keeper!!
TPowell
I think Alex Song has created a new position: the holding striker.
Arsene_Wonder
good finish from sam. And Arsene_Wonder, I think Song just popped up as a holding winger!
TPowell
Song does not know his position. He knows he is just free lancing. He is lucky jack is playing next to his left.
Arseniger
Chamakh doesn't have an understanding of Cesc's game and style.
Arseniger
Half time thoughts guys?
Sajit
What a finish from Samir!! Off topic, I'm watching Sir Red Nose's press conference online. Amazing stuff. I almost felt for him!
GoonerLou
@Sajit..I hope the defence doesn't go to sleep. Each time i see Djourou it feels like Mikael Sylvestre all over again. I hope we don't concede but overall the game looks so easy
Arseniger
Lovely goal from Jack, lovely combination play! :D
GoonerLou
Bring it on.
Sajit
good finish from Jack there, surprisingly only his second goal for the first team
TPowell
Now Eddy can score :P on this occasion we don't mind not keeping a clean sheet, just for once, just for him!
GoonerLou
Yay, very nice to have a chance to take off Cesc, Chamakh and Samir with this scoreline. :) We needed this confidence boost before facing City. Well done all the lads!
GoonerLou
Why do people have a go at Song regarding his positioning? Its pretty clear to me that he is instructed to go forward at times.
Tom14
bit surprised Nicky B didn't get a run out tonight
TPowell
9 points and 14 goals from 3 group games, qualifying job 80% done. :)
GoonerLou
Agree Tom, I thought it was pretty clear as well... now whether or not its a good instruction is up for debate
TPowell
Eddy heard me (and us). Lovely goal. Lovely reception. Perfect European night this one! :)
GoonerLou
jaelle mention Douglas Costa in her earlier post, the boy can play
TPowell
Tis a fairytale.
Sajit
So Chamakh has scored 6 goals in 13 appearances yeah? How many pens earned too, about 4 or 5? Amazing numbers so far!
GoonerLou
Great moment for Eddie. Great Player. Great Person. Totally deserved it. A proper send off for him. Elsewhere, great win. 5-1 at home against Shakhtar ain't that bad is it? Jack was great in midfield. MOTM for me was Song. Looked really solid in midfield and of course got the goal and the assist
Eboue=GOD
Well done lads :D
Blitz
..That reception and farewell brought tears to my eyes. Classy, Arsenal fans at the stadium. Even applauding his goal.
Naijagunner
Brilliant Night! Great to hear the Fans sing Eddy name and cheer when he scored!
hackneyval
Great performance from Le Goons, opened them up defensively. Bring this kind of game to City.
ChelseaDC
Eddy deserved that, classy guy. I hope Adebayor watched that and realised that if you're not a complete ***** when you leave a club, you could still get some respect from them.
FuiKaka
Lou, I think he's drawn 5 penalties by my count, and don't forget was very much influential in the own goal at Anfield
