Now I know what LD feels like.. OFf to bed at 2am and back up 6 :30 am to make it in time for the game....
Sajit
NASRIII!!!!!!
bowiecokemirror
The one player I really wanted to score today
bowiecokemirror
Fantastic finish.come on you goons
ajwb
counter please 2-0!
ajwb
Why are we booing gallas? He is not worth the attention.
Sajit
Just got home and dad told me what I missed. Pleasantly surprised! :D
GoonerLou
Do you think Nasri's angle was tighter than Roberto Carlos's? The thing that makes Nasri goal superb is that , he couldn't get as much pace on the ball as Carlos, and yet managed to sneak it in from an impossible angle.
Sajit
Good performance so far, the team worked hard to close down the opposition. Well deserved lead, probably should have scored more.
bowiecokemirror
Rosicky should be introduced, Bale, Lennon and Hutton are ganging up Clichy. Bale has realised that we are unbalanced on the left and he is drifting towards there. With that said, Andrey has actually been relatively impressive in tracking back. They're gonna play 4-4-2 with Defoe. We need to remain focused, game is far from finished.
gronedrone
No gronedrone, it was over before the first whistle. We've been horrendous. And Fabregas is the best player in the league
HuddersfieldYiddo
Err....
GoonerLou
Terrible defending, but a good finish from Bale...
bowiecokemirror
Our bench gives a lot of confidence; should get the 3 points.
Naijagunner
damn......
Sajit
What the *****'s that?!?!???!?!??! Stupid handball!??!??!
GoonerLou
We're doing our best to throw away the 3 points again
bowiecokemirror
I have no idea what the ***** he thought he's doing!!!!
GoonerLou
I can't eff-ing believe my eyes! Cesc of all people, such stupidity!!
GoonerLou
Silly
ajwb
Got away with it last season Vs Liverpool
ajwb
It wouldn't be so bad if Spurs had played well, but we've handed them the game pretty much through our own stupidity
bowiecokemirror
Well at least Cesc's trying his best to redeem himself...
GoonerLou
Wondering who the boss will take off for Theo...
GoonerLou
Who's going to defend against the freak, Crouch?
Naijagunner
Argghhhh.... so close from Cesc, again so close from Squillaci...
GoonerLou
ha ha ha...draw would be a great result.
since2000stillnew
ha ha ha...3-2 would be a good result for chelsea.
since2000stillnew
Good God... why...why
Sajit
simply not good enough to win epl.
since2000stillnew
I hate to see the press hail Redknapp tomorrow. To say I'm hugely disappointed with our defending and Cesc's moment of stupidity is a huge understatement.
GoonerLou
Great job you complacent *****s
gunnerkid107
Like the last time they beat us at home, we handed it to them, just in different ways. What's gutting is that they didn't play all that well. I'm furious with Cesc now. Less so with Chamakh and Squillaci who wasted chances. But if you talk about affecting the scoreline, those were equally guilty. Yeah right, now Spuds are in the title race and we've given it to them, great.
GoonerLou
Absolutely shameful, trying to walk the ball in to the net when attacking, basic errors when defending...
bowiecokemirror
***** that !
Sajit
Wenger not shaking Harry's hand = Priceless. And shameful i may add. Unlucky chaps!
HuddersfieldYiddo
Chamakh's reluctance to shoot was frustrating, glad he went off. Koscielny needs to stop diving in and give away needless fouls. Not sure why Djourou was dropped in the first place after he played well in the last 2 games. Hopefully Arsene will give them a serious bollocking and ring some changes. Complacent prats.
bowiecokemirror
Well that was a stooooopid way to finish a fairly dominating performance.
nakcuh
Yeah bowie, that was an absolute Hleb moment, what's he thinking hesitating like that when going clear on goal?!?!?
GoonerLou
Unlucky, but Wenger really is a sneering berk, no doubt about that. Anyway, on a personal note, it was good to have Henry in the stands to witness that. But like I said, unlucky, and let's look forward to the one at the Lane, eh?
DubaiSpur
Chasing the game 2-0 at half time, even I could've imagined what sort of cliche Redknapp would've said in their dressing room, citing how they came back to 4-4 after going 4-2 down, etc etc. How did our players not see that they'd give their all to attack us in the second half and why did we hand it to them in such shameful manner? I'm not even talking about the record. I'm just gutted for the throwing away of the 3 valuable points and the great momentum we've built so far. Talking about momentum, we must get rid of this nasty habit of self-destruction after building a little bit of momentum time and again this season.
GoonerLou
Just too *****ed off. Saturday ruined.
Sajit
Guess we had to lose to the scum at home eventually. Embarrassing cos as usual we totally outplayed them. The shame of losing to a team containing gash like Jermain Jenas.
nikolaijns
Hahahaha Tottenham Kings !!!
Uskok
kings of what? fluking the 1st win in 17 years? bravo.
nikolaijns
In before this board gets overtaken. Fabregas and RVP on Kaboul (Man of the match for me), what was that about.
gronedrone
Niko in the second half we ruined you. Its a game of two halves dear. And i thought some of the tackles on Bale especially first half were disgraceful, some real reducers.
HuddersfieldYiddo
Your manager is an absoulute tosser! So he doesn't shake harry's hand because what? He outclassed him as a manager? you lost fair and sqaure? he is a bitter old man who has lost the plot? Or was spurs gameplan poor and too bullyish for your fragile arsenal team? He is a mug and needs to get some respect. Yeah he might be frustrated about losing after a 2-0 lead but so what, he should accept spurs deserved their win in the end.
P.Avfc
wenger should have caught the drift by now, arsenal shouldn't allow minnows to walk away with all 3 points from the emirates
49ers
In as much as you scored three times hy, we ruined ourselves tbf. gifted 3 pts to a vastly inferior side. Did Bale play? Yeah we tackle now, thought you sp*rs boys like that side of the game, it's a contact sport dontcha know? a mans game etcetera etcetera.
nikolaijns
GOOD MATCH AS USUAL ...BUT ITS OUR TIME.....complacency folks costs games
rovinella62spurs
I'm actually glad Wenger's a bad loser. He'll go into the dressing room all furious and rightly so. He's rude not to shake Redknapp's hand unless there's some story behind it. But I couldn't care less. The angrier the better, he should just go in and start yelling at them.
GoonerLou
Gutted! The lads don't seem to have a sense of occasion; we needed 'big' men out there today. @Sajit, more like "Week ruined".
Naijagunner
Let's hope L.D's hard-drive crashes again eh?
gronedrone
'Best squad' eh, hahahahah... and the players believed it.
GoonerLou
You're right rovinella, apart from the bit about it being your time, it's your 90 minutes granted.
nikolaijns
Surely Harry must have done something to been snubbed by Wenger, if he didn't then Wenger is in the wrong.
gronedrone
It's not the first time gronedrome where wenger has failed to shake the opposition managers hand because he has lost, he needs a lesson in respect. If arsenal won harry would still be there shaking his hand.
P.Avfc
Same here Lou, hope AW's blood is boiling and he gives them some serious abuse
bowiecokemirror
More like 45 mins Rovinella
Sajit
GRONEDRONE you should be used to wenger and his tantrums by now...we are...tbh with so many injuries i thought we would lose but its been coming since the 4-4 draw....its rather poor you lot never tested gomes until 35 minutes in the second half....still thats why we love footy....unpredictable....rest of you post facts and not bitter comments....peace
rovinella62spurs
yep, Arsenal tackle now, as evidenced by the studs up tackles on Bale. Tell you what, the next time a horrendous injury occurs due to a reckless challenge with little or no intent to get the ball, don't pontificate. You've lost the right to do so.
DubaiSpur
The fat lady is singing!
Clive 49
nikolaijns. As far as the continuous fouling on Bale is concerned, I thought this is what your manager is always shouting about, crying for the refs to protect his players against just that very thing. Him & his team want to try practising what they preach. And by the way, your'e a very bad loser.
JohnM
Oh come on you goons, switch your phones back on.. I cant get through to none of you :p
Guyver
and Wenger showed pure lack of class not shaking harrys hand, it is possible to be angry and respectful at the same time. What a joke
Guyver
Didnt want to listen to cacophony Guyver
Sajit
Was there ever any doubt that Wenger lacks class?
JohnM
A patchy performance from both sides (which with the amount of injuries was probably to be expected) luckily you're trough was a little lower then ours. Very entertaining game. My favourite NLD for a while, I can't quite put my finger on why? Same again on Feb 26th? ;)
Phartman87
Although you can blame your own team for throwing 3 goals away in the second half, Spurs done pretty much the same in the first. Every team blames there own players for opposition scoring! What was gomes doing for the first goal? What was Hutton doing for the second? Arsenal did perform to a very high standard in the first half, but they didnt have the conviction in the second like the Arsenal of old against the "minnows" team from over the road. It was an overdue win for Spurs. Probably a deserved win in regards to the manner in which we came back. However, I have almost always shown respect to Arsenal, but somehow that respect has dropped for pity of your manager. A fantastic manager as it is, but when someone in that position does what he did today there is no going back. My respect for the teams I supports closest rivals has disappeared and replaced by pity. I hope wenger learnt a lesson from todays game that sometimes the minnows come back to bite. best of luck with the rest of the season, will be great to fight you lot out for some sort of accolade come the end of the season!
spursftw
Have they released a DVD yet? Surely this is the biggest Spuds achievement since... Erhm I'm not that old, someone get back to me on that. http://shop.tottenhamhotspur.com/spuds-are-an-inferior-side-and-must-release-dvds-celebrating-the-few-times-they-actually-beat-a-better-team
gronedrone
Yeah and you lot are such good losers JohnM, that's why you lot on vital scum are tearing each others heads off every other week yeah? If I was such a bad loser I wouldn't be here talking to muppets ike you would I? Spare me the sanctimonious piffle, why shouldn't I be hacked off when we keep throwing 3 pts at home to rubbish like your lot? There were no reckless tackles today so stop lying, there were a few late ones, a few sly ones and a lot of rolling around and exaggerating by hyperchimp. Typical hypocrisy really, the moment we get tired of getting kicked in the air every weekend and start dishing back - we're the new leeds.
nikolaijns
well what can i say next time we'll put out our CC third team and give you lot a better chance!! Arsenal 2-nil and you *****ed it up Tottenham Reserves 3.......................Dvds are now available from sky in 3D!!
WestStandEnclosure
I'd actually love to play our CC third team too. They would've been less complacent I'm sure.
GoonerLou
Why the hell does every frillywhite bang on about injuries? Who exactly were you missing today? Dewoeful came on and did jack as per. Gomes, Hutton, Ekotto, hyperchimp, VDV, Lennon, Gallas, The crap russian, Giraffe, Palacios, all played, so who exactly did you miss? Some fat git and a cripple, yeah bare bones there.
nikolaijns
You are right WestStand; Bale, VDV and Modric are reserve players and wouldn't make the bench at Arsenal but some how always make the starting XI at spuds.
gronedrone
gronedrone all winners today that will do us nicely!! have a nice weekend losers Im of down the pub to celebrate!! COYS
WestStandEnclosure
ahh they're back, was just about to file a missing persons report for every goon fan on gods green earth.. welcome home guys *big hug* :)
Guyver
thanks to nasri and your fans for firing up gallas...saying he would not be shaking the hand of gallas was poor.....gallas had a blinder
rovinella62spurs
Denying it one moment, admitting it the next. You really are a confused gonner nikolaijns :-)
JohnM
What like the wazzocks claiming that was your reserve side John?
nikolaijns
gronedrone you lost to us at whl last season...remember...that was where your title bid ended....so whats that about, sorry to say but since you lost the invincibles wenger has lost it...guess the exposure of his love affair is haunting him
rovinella62spurs
What a competitive season, good for neutrals I suppose.
GoonerLou
Our title bid ended away to Birmingham. You will always be in our shadow spuddies. Congratulations on winning today but untill you consistently finish above us let alone just one season you will always live in our shadow. We are the Arsenal and no matter how ***** we play we will always end the season celebrating the failure of Tottenham Spuds.
gronedrone
Grone to be fair, Brum is a tough place to visit, just ask Chelsea now. :P This is a crazy season and the league is all game on!
GoonerLou
Just back from the game. The funny thing is you never feel safe even when 2 goals ahead with this Arsenal side. I don't believe Tottenham really had to do much to come back there, we just can't do the basics well enough. Even at 2-1, if Cesc doesn't give away the penalty, I fancy us to go on and win it. But once it's 2-2, you could sense the players were scared they were going to lose it. This team doesn't know how to defend and has a fragility about them that means we can't win nowt. I mean if was Spuds ffs, not even Chelsea, Manutd, Real or Barca!
Gooner_Vin
Hahahahahaha pathetic comments from typical gooners. You really need to accept that the power is changing in London. We didnt even have our strongest side. Gallas and Kaboul (altho Kaboul is outstanding!) wudnt get near the team if King and Daws wer avaialable - thats not even taking into consideration Woodgate. I am happy to openly admit that you shud have been out of sight by half time maybe 4-0? If Chamakh cud finish his breakfast it wud be a different story. The point of my post is...why cant arsenal win anything?? I'll tell u why...Wenger. Yes he is a genius as much as it pains me to say it, however, what is he trying to prove?? He has a very young squad albeit excellent squad - he will not win trophies unless he signs a true leader - with the exception of fabregas...who do u have??? You cant turn to Henry anymore, no Pires, no Begrgkamp or Vieira. Wenger is in denial. I dont question that he believes in the potential of your squad but at the end of the day that is all it is...potential. Maybe in a few years you can think about challenging again.
TornadoYid
gronedrone a win at whl would have either put you level or above the leaders at the time last season....recheck....that was where it ended and you would have been above as we beat chelsea the following week
rovinella62spurs
Agree to disagree on that one Rovinella, I had given up hope when they scored that last minute equaliser and I'm normally one of the more optimistic gooners. I had maintained belief all season long up until that moment. Hahahahahaha pathetic comments from typical gooners. "You really need to accept that the power is changing in London." We deal with this year in year out, just because you have learned how to play against us (you have accepted that you are inferior and set up that way) doesn't mean you will finish above us. You beat us today and you are still 4 points behind us. As for your top four credentials. You are better team than last season but you also have the CL to deal with. The longer you are in the CL the less chance you have of finishing ahead of Citeh. Out of the two teams I would say Spuds have improved more, even though I fancy Citeh to finish fourth.
gronedrone
I guarantee you that citeh will not finish 4th. They are not a formed TEAM. They are just a bunch of overpaid celebrities. No doubt with all the money they have behind them they will win someting eventually, but that is a discussion for another day. I was focussing on spurs and arsenal. No point trying to deflect the attention elsewhere. My point is that if you compare arsenal squad to spurs squad. Arsenal are to young to win anything major this season. Spurs have a healthy mix of players who have played together for years aswell as youth and a touch of world class (Bale , Modric, VDV). I think we may well do better than you in the CL. PL is anybodys guess this year. The pressure is more on arsenal to do well in CL & PL due to being constant regulars, wheras with us - no-one really expects us to do anything in CL or be serious title contenders. I think its poised perfectly for us wen u look at the squad we have. Its obvious wot is wrong at arsenal. Wenger just needs to buy experience, but he is too arrogant to admit wen he is wrong. Not a spurs fan having a knock at arsenal but just telling it as it is. Brilliant as far as Im concerned tho.
TornadoYid
TORA, TORA, TORA. 2-0 DOWN, 2-3 UP!!!!
Tony Rocky Horror
Myeh. Like I said, unlucky. But disparaging the fact we played without King, dawson, Corluka, Huddlestone, and a few half-fit players like van der vaart, defoe and Lennon, is blind stupidity of the sort only Arsene Wenger could conjure up in his post-match interviews.
DubaiSpur
How the tables turned, it used to be Spurs that played the occasion and not the game and end up shooting their bolts in the first 45 mins, leaving nothing left in the 2nd half. Sad thing is, I don't think too many6 Gooners would have been utterly shocked if you'd told them at half time that we'd lose 3-2, that sense of self congratulation before achivement has been present in the team for a long time. You saw it in the last ten minutes at Everton last weekend when we almost ruined an excellent performance because we became too cocksure on 80 mins. The atmos is gonna turn sour round our way from the fans now, the players have got to go a long way to win them back now. Fair play to Spurs, they made some tactical changes at half time and squeezed all of our attacking play into central areas and played on the break. The game was still ridiculously open at 2-0 which is why we got punished, we thought we could keep it that way when you should try and shut a game down a bit at 2-0. Not us, we still pur nine players forward with no tact or brain power.
Little Dutch
I agree L.D even at 2-1 we reacted as if they had just scored with a minute to go and threw everybody forward to try and get the third.
gronedrone
*scored the winner
gronedrone
I must say I'm not in the least bit suprised that we turned you over in the end. It was like a boxing match out there. One fighter has all the moves and the muscles and the fast hands; but he's also got a glass jaw and he's a bit brainless with it. Yes, you will get hit, and you may even get put down on the canvas and have to take a count. But drag him into the deep water of the later rounds and he's vulnerable. You wait for the opportune moment and then BOOM!! you unleash the knockout right on the chin. When he goes down he folds through the ropes and needs the smelling salts to bring him round. This was a proud day for my club and it won't be the last.
Tony Rocky Horror
Wenger is a disgrace. Seriously, what is wrong with him? Total lack of class.
NorwaySpurs
I thought I'd come on here to find many gloating obnoxious comments from my fellow Spurs fans like you lot after the game earlier this season. However there aren't. No matter what you lot win (or don't win) you'll never have class. Bad losers, bad winners. off the top of my head - Vieira spitting at fellow human beings, Pires diving, Henry cheating, Tony Adams, Peter Storey. 2-0 and you f***ed it up - WAS THERE A FIRE DRILL?
JPspurs
The best part Norway was when the idiot kicked up a water bottle and drenched his own daft trousers, then crouched down on the touchline as if he were having a nervous breakdown. Refusing to shake his opposite's hand AGAIN?!! What a clown he's become.
Tony Rocky Horror
So you thought you'd fill in, eh JSpurs. Don't get me wrong TRH, this is Tottenham's day and I'm not going to be sour and suggest otherwise. Like I say, I thought Redknapp made some effective tactical changes at half time, squeezing us in and leaving Defoe on the shoulder of the last defender on the counter attack served you well. But it's a bit far fetched of you to suggest this was some great rope-a-dope tactic of Spurs to be 2 goals down at half time safe in the knowledge you'd win it. The game was so open that it could just as easily have been 3-0 as 2-1. It went to 2-1 and the rest is history, but you took the gambles a team has to take when 2-0 down and they worked for you. But don't pretend it was all part of the grand plan.
Little Dutch
We've had more than our share of lauding it over the spuds over recent years. It's not too hard to have to take it on those occassions things go their way. The biggest shame is not what it does for the spuds it's a lost opportunity to go top and feed our own momentum. The league is shaping up as it should do though. The top four can't take anything for granted. Points can be won or lost almost anywhere. It's as open as it has been for sometime.
Amos.
Well once I got on here i thought it'd be rude to not leave something (and you are classless anyway - Wenger is a toilet for not shaking Harrys hand). Same old Woolwich
JPspurs
No, not part of a grand plan, but you know that against certain teams you will have to weather a storm, but if you do that, you've got a chance. What I'm saying is I knew that if we got the ball to Bale and Defoe and VDV they could cause damage and so it turned out. Once we broke your momentum I knew we would break you, it was only a matter of time. Yes we did ride our luck, especially with the free header that whatshisface missed, but Arsenal are a machine, with one gear, and if it doesn't work it's *****ed. It was as if men beat robots today.
Tony Rocky Horror
right lads, theres obviously nothing going on here as you're all probably trekking back to reading or wherever the phuck you lot come from. i'm off out but enjoy motd :)
JPspurs
Can't blame the spuds for geting carried away with their moment. They have the points and in the end that's really all that matters but to pretend that a hopeful long punt up the middle and a couple of set pieces going their way makes us robotic and them footballing men is very - well spuddish I suppose. No-one can take the bragging rights away from them but on that performance no-one need fear them either.
Amos.
Tony Rocky ***** - remind how many points you are behind us currently? Yes, that's right. You may have won, but I'll wager we'll finish ahead of you come the end of the season - and you won't be playing CL football next season. *offensive comment removed* [Edited by Amos]
Gooner_Vin
*Abusive comment removed* You might like to revise that. We're coming up along the rails now. The nice part about it all is that we haven't even hit our stride properly yet: our form's been very patchy, but we're still right there. Ian Wright even admitted that Spurs were now more likely to win the title on TV, imagine that!! You finished a point ahead of us and had to wait until the last day to get there last year, and we're a much better team this time. You're in trouble this time and you know it. We're in the title race and we CAN win the CL as well. *Abusive comment removed* [Edited by Amos]
Tony Rocky Horror
PAVC and all the other morons who said it, I saw wenger shake his hand on MOTD just now you tool.
paul_ownz
On the plus side for you Fabregas was brilliant. Offer him what he wants and get him to stay.
Tony Rocky Horror
Yep, let's not hold our breath for an apology, but AW did shake HR's hand quite clearly.
Little Dutch
Well then I stand corrected. fair's fair after all.
Tony Rocky Horror
Yep Little Dutch, You are quite correct that Wenger shook hands with Redknapp so I for one hold my hands up for that and apologise, Hey! so you won something this weekend after all, did,nt you !! lol
Born&BredSpur
wenger did shake hands and apology to him but that water company shall surely sue him for misuse..lol...peace all and good luck in the week
rovinella62spurs
So effing fed up with Denilson. He never tracks back with his man.
Wyn Mills
How the hell did you lose that game? - yes i know Spurs scored one more than you.
Thaibluefan
Amazed at how gentlemanly all the Goonies are being on here, considering it's their site and that it always hurts more losing a game when you should have been 4-0 up at half time (and us Yids know all about that feeling!). One thing's for sure, the North London Derby is the best by far! Fought for as life-and-death by ALL players on each side, yet very rarely do you see violent conduct, very few dives ever (although we'll always accuse your players and vice-versa), and both teams play passing, attacking football, trying to play and win the game in the way it should be done! Another 5 goal thriller, beats the hell outta' that 0-0 Manchester bore-draw!
The Horses Mouth
Thaiblue, I'm a Yid and I have no idea how we won it either!! I thought Fibreglass ran the game completely in the first half, the guy is incredible, maybe just too many youngsters and a lack of consistancy and experience (Gallas anyone???)
The Horses Mouth
For YEARS we've been the guilty party for GIFTING the sky 4 points its nice when the favours returned, though you took your sweet time about it ! I was SO pleased that Gallas had the Captaincy & his performance today. He's been improving bit by bit but too many Spurs Fans have been on his back, today he proved what an asset he really is & WHY Arsene wanted him to stay. He's a Leader & a Winner. This win was by far LONG overdue. Though a MASSIVE Spurs Fan my real love for the game is in QUALITY Players & performances. Many of my fellow Spurs will no doubt hate me for what Im about to admit but I don't care & it desn't mean my Love for THFC is any less. Some of my favourite players have played for you guys & ironically 1 of my favourites (though not in a Derby of cause) was a certain Ian Wright ! Thats correct Wrighty, today on Sky I loved him for his honesty & loyalty, he loves his Club so much it physically hurt him the result but through gritted teeth he admitted over the entire game we deserved the win. Personally even though he spends just as long in the medical treatment centre as our very own Hero King, I'd welcome RVP with open arms, he's a truly GREAT player & 1 I'd love to follow in the footsteps of Gallas ! By the way bellow is a hilarious post from 1 of my fellow Yids, now for ALL the abuse & comedy my mates who are cursed with the illness of Le Goons Disease 8^P heres a bit of tongue & cheek just for you ! LMFAO! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The RSPCA have acted very quickly after recent incidents at the Emirates Stadiumm. If you see an Arsenal fan with a dog please ask then to call 0800 2-0-2-1-2-2-2-3 for free advise on how to hold onto a lead! deanospurs
True Spurs Supporter
Just love the fact i got a text from my Arsenal mate that read "hahahahaha" at halftime. Lovely moment at half time. Amos, with regards to that "debt" you thought you payed off in the 4-1 win earlier this year against our reserves (I remember the article being posted within minutes of full time) well i think its safe to stay its *********.
HuddersfieldYiddo
Have to agree with The Horses Mouth about the NLD being the best. EASILY the most entertaining. Both teams only want to win, so much flair skill and drama. And Wenger in a paddy is such a beautiful sight & is becoming commonplace these days against us
HuddersfieldYiddo
Our leads are always fragile. For me the player most at fault was Song. If he had closed down Assou-Ekotto, instead of standing around and letting him pick his pass, we wouldnt have conceded that first goal. The defense was back-pedalling at the time and its hard to defend when you are running back. I thought our subs didnt work out. Rvp is still feeling his way back and forging an understanding with midfield. Rosicky conceded dangerous fouls and didnt create much. At one point he was expecting Rvp to go down the channel and passed into air: its clear these 2 havent played much together in the last 2 years and do not have the telepathic understanding yet. Walcott? In a tight game when we are losing, theo is useless. he needs space to get behind the defence. he is not one to unlock packed defenses.
Gael-Force
ARse'holes the Audley Harrisons of english football talk a good talk, but still cant walk the walk. You lot and your rose tinted glasses, the truth is which? we have caught up? or you lot are getting worse? which ever it is it dont look too bright for you lot!! Next time we'll put out the CC third team to give you a chance!! COYS
WestStandEnclosure
WSE, you got lucky. It was a hold-up. We all know that we threw the game away. Its our own fault. Now typically, you talk about winning the league, you have no idea what it takes. You still can't hack it at this level and you will finish 7 or 8th. You are just not good enough. Face up to it. One win does not erase your decades of failure. We'll just start another sequence, morons.
Gael-Force
@Gael-Force, Talk all you want. As if Arsenal can win this season. Its not one win. Its 2 consecutive PL wins including last year. For all the talks of best coach, Wenger is the most stubborn and useless. He didnt sign VDV when he had the chance. Then he lets Gallas goes on a free transfer. What manager will let Gallas go and buy a 10million squirrel, sorry, squallaci. There is no leader in defense with Vermalen out. And you think Arsenal will win the tittle.
sydqcb5
Teams now know how to beat arsenal. Somehow get through the first half with little damage. If you go with 4-5-1, Arsenal will play the passing game and the find the goal. Go with traditional 4-4-2 or even 4-3-3, and pressure their defense. Then by 70min the stars like Fibreglass, Chamakh,Nasri,VanPersie will become tired. Their defense will falter ,you nick in a goal or two. Wenger will then wet his pants, I mean by throwing a bottle of water and CHAOS. Its so easy. WestBrom did it, NewCastle did it, Spurs did it. I would bet Blackpool would have tried doing it,if not for their unlucky red card. Whether I match the return derby match or not, I will watch Blackpool - Arsenal and see Wenger wetting his pants again.
sydqcb5
Well I thought I would come over to the dark side this morning and read the obituary column you lot would be writing ....and see what was being said in the inquest over the dead body....17 years of hurt ....17 years of the abuse and derision we've taken from you Gooners...with your smug, self satisfied, self congratulatory attitudes..well good morning to you all... i hope its hurting like hell..and as for your manager not once, since the final whistle has he said well done to us or Harry, its only been about " how could we have lost a game when the they (Spurs) hardly had a shot on goal"...he's an ungracious, spoilt, temper tantrum drama queen and a great representative for his supporters ....
OyVeh Maria
You remember an article from me about debts paid after the CC game do you HY? The same memory that enabled you to recall immediately after the game that Wenger had forgotten to shake twitchys hand I guess? Shouldn't let the current delirium rattle those memory cells too much if I were you. You'll be forgetting to buy the commemorative dvd next. Can't stop spuds crowing for the present and we've had plenty of opportunity to do ourselves but there is some mild respite to be had in reading some of the half time comments of spuds over at VS about their triumphant team and all conquering manager. :)
Amos.
hahaha gunner lou just red ur post we handed it to them ffs, we handed u a 2 goal lead
123spurs
i love all ur excuses, thanks for the laughs
123spurs
an who cares if you outplayed us you still lost
123spurs
good morning gone ers
123spurs
i hope he dried off hes hands

Would just like to say I thought the game yesterday was brilliant. Even before our fightback I was on the phone to my gooner friend chatting about just how good Fabregas was yesterday. I dont remember anyone tackling him all game. Talk of us winning the league is ridiculous though, we were so comprehensively outplayed in the first half. Plus we'd be talking very different if Fabs shot after that brilliant move, or Koscielnys free header had gone in. Look forward to another cracker at the lane.
oi.you.there
Bloody Hell; you lot all go to Public School together, oh, what a terrible pass, oh we totally out played them, oh what a smashing game of chess Charles, thank you Henry, what's the score, are we still winning, NO YOU PHUCKING WELL AIN'T, 3-2 TO THE TOTTENHAM, But don't worry Mothercare have agreed to supply wenger with some new toys and Buxton have agreed to send him a new bottle of water, Pat Rice's face was a picture, almost as much to say, ''YOU STUPID OLD PR-ICK''
spu 4 life
Even in victory you get the feeling that the spuds can't quite believe their luck. There seems to be a greater sense of relief than triumph in their celebration. Can't blame them really. Just makes their ultimate despondency all the more amusing really.
Amos.
Amos.. Arsenal 2 - 3 Spurs.
TornadoYid
im glad you find us amusing. However, I can assure you is nowhere near as amusing as watching cry baby wenger throw his toys out the pram hahahaha. *abuse removed*. [Edited by Amos]
TornadoYid
Can't argue with the result TY and you'll be able to feed off it for a while. That's football for you.
Amos.
I like the way the arse fans are like 'well its been 17 years, youve gotta beat us sometime' blah blah, Under harry its played 5 w-2 d-2 l-1 in the league so id stop all the arrogance cos times are changing, facts dont lie!
liamyid
Yes, Liam, you finished lower than us last season, and are currently 4 points behind us. Times are a changing...err not
Gooner_Vin
well you could argue, that there reply was they let us back into the game, cesc was great cause we let him play, gave him to much space an didnt close him down
123spurs
I don't know if times are changing but what I will say is that on the face of it we are on the way to achieving goals that we set ourselves and you....well....aren't. even the most biased arsenal fan can see that surely! i'd say that you are doing what you're capable of by getting into the Champions League every season but if you will insist on always being in contention to win the league and champions league then you are ultimately failing. we wont win the league and neither will you. we wont win the Champions league and neither will you. you dont care about the 'Micky Mouse Cup' (until you win it then it'll all change) and playing a second string in the FA Cup to Stoke says it all really. So you lot can bang on all you want but what exactly is the point of you lot?
JPspurs
What exactly is the point of us lot? Err...13 league titles including 3 in the last 12 seasons. And what is the point of Spuds exactly? 50 years (and counting) without a league title or even getting near to one. You know what, you could easily go another 50 without winning it. I know that we'll win it sooner than you though. Let's wait until the end of the season. In fact, let's see what happens after your next 4 games. Talk about delusions.
Gooner_Vin
delusions? erm, what delusions? you lot have been banging on about winning the league for how long now? considering you just view us as **** then why are you talking about us winning the league? you are pointless - you think you're going to win the league every season, you think you can realistically win the Champions League?!? nowhere near every season. what planet are you lot on? we aimed to get Champions League football - we got it - yeah how deluded are we eh? We're aiming to get out of this tough Champions League group - yep i guess we're deluding ourselves again with that one! you are deluded personified pal
JPspurs
Ha Ha! Bunch of mugs before the game and sore losers after it!!! Shame I see alot cry babies here, alot of throwing toys out the cot... hmmm
Mix26
I didn't say I viewed you as ****, you did. If anything is pointless, it's your comments. They make no sense. Which isn't that surprising really. 50 years. Man, you could go through the rest of your life and never know what it feels like to the league. That's gotta hurt.
Gooner_Vin
Oh by the way, Bolton are ahead of you, you realise don't you?
Gooner_Vin
well all I can say to the Gooners who have replied to the Spurs boys on your blog today is....WHO ARE YER! WHO ARE YER! WHO ARE YER! WHO ARE YER! Dumb and Dumber standing in a wall ....hold there hands up to stop the ball... ref says SPOT.. Fabrigas says not...VDV ....and its 2 all!!!!!!!!!!! COYS YEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
OyVeh Maria
YOUR NOT SINGING ANYMORE! YOUR NOT SINGING ANYMORE!
OyVeh Maria
yep thats right, my comments are pointless. you of course are the bestest team in the whole world and the only reason you haven't won so much as a mars bar in the past 5 years is because everyone is really mean and Eduardo broke his leg. Go take your sour grapes and your worse disiplinary record in the league (worse than Stoke and Birmingham) and think up some more excuses of why you are stuck in a footballing purgatory
JPspurs
If we're stuck in footballing purgatory, Spurs have been surfing in the seventh circle of hell for about 50 years! Basically, your point JP appears to be that you are a smaller club with smaller aims and therefore are satisfied with your inferiority to us. And you're actually using that as an argument against us? At least OyVeh up there has the sense to comment on the game yeserday. But in trying to cast aspersions on the bigger picture, you've made a totally self defeating argument.
Little Dutch
I don't know why people are arguing so pointlessly ? We're just over 1/4 of the season into it & the leagues very open. To discredit any Team is a joke, though in reality you'd expect the Teams who are used to competing for the title to be mentally strong enough. City are Hot & Cold @ the moment but on the same points as us (currently. Though I reckon they'll stroll past Fulham & their old Boss today, sadly), but the personality clashes etc will probably cause to much damage & will more likely end up in the EL again. Unless something drastic happens i.e. Pep Guardiola ? Liverpool, well after a recent rise in form Stevie G gets injured, it didn't hurt them yesterday, but lets see how they fair against a Team in a lil less despair ! Everton yet again slow to start but their quality will shine through, 10 pts is a bit unrealistic to recover but still possible. Villa are going through the Managerial transition period, though what a CRACKING New Manager they now have ! Then theres US, I don't care what any 1 will try & claim, we're missing 3 CB's that would make BOTH our Teams, JD missing for so long & at times 8 other members of our 25. Im not saying you've not had injuries that'd be a lie, but we've simply had more key players to deal with, add the new experience of the CL (is top of the group a good place to be...?), the fact the Team are maturing to a higher level whilst currently enjoying 3 of the best players in the League just starting to really click as the spine of our Team, then the fact your old Captain has taken time to settle in Our Team & then put in a Captains performance for US the likes your back line is crying out for. (that REALLY makes me smile that fact) Yesterday though took a lot out of him, so after a rest as long as he takes that attitude with him from now on, then DAMN ! We've been competing whilst coping with a harsh situation, now the 4 th choice CB's have developed a New Partnership, our old Talisman is back & some, then add Our Three Amigos & things are looking pretty tidy. I'd be happy with 4th as to use a word you may or not be used to (whether you've seen it that is ! ;-P) "CONSISTENCY !" But I'd expect the lads to finally carry the belief required to be regular Winners again. In the likes of VDV & Gallas we have proven & experienced Winners & Leaders. 1 of the hottest talents in football history enjoying life with us & declaring his commitment, then a small Midfield genius who according to some is too small to be a real danger in the PL... The former Brazilian U21 Captain adapting to life as a PL Player. You know our present & future really doesn't seem the joke our recent History has sadly provided. The rest of Our Squad are pretty decent as well you know. We don't have a God given right by any stretch, but we are developing into a side that are GENUINE contenders for any competition we face ! COYS.

LD write up first class, we have dished it out now we will have to suffer for a while. Time will tell and as they say cream will always rise to the top. I have always believe things come in three's we now have that monkey off our backs and I would not be surprised if we dont lose another game at home. No one could say the better team won, it was just the one that took its chances better. We had the opportunity to win and fluffed our chance. I thought we might have made a come back when our goal was disallowed but hey thats the games. Last year we lost to the scum and I felt we played rubbish, no matter how bad the feeling is losing to the scum we didnt give up and I'll live with that. I'm sure the whole team is gutted and I expect to see positive results. Wide boy Arry will come a croppa and all these lovely lads will turn on him. For the moment well done spuds, remember how you have dished it out this time.
alwaysgunner
LD brilliant mate, you are spot on. it's not a self defeating argument just because you can't see further than the end of your own nose pal. nice to see you twist it nonetheless. my point (as you well know) was that you need to lower your expectations because you're simply not good enough right now. this self congratulatory attitude that you lot have is totally misplaced. you dont see Blackburn banging on about going for the league just because they won it years ago. if living off the past serves you as well as actually achieving goals then more power to you. Just remember who was coming onto Vital Spurs earlier this season seconds after the C.C game (or the 'Micky Mouse Cup' as you lot like to say). to be honest, alot of Gooners i know (and on here) have shown alot of grace in defeat but for you i'd say don't dish it out if you can't take it
JPspurs
Alwaysgunner, yes of cause we dished it out this time as your lot have done to us each time. It sucks even more for you lot coz now you know what its like to be the better team on the day only for your rival to humiliate you by putting in a better 2nd half than you put in in the 1st & take all the points. Sucks eh ? Lets just say we've taken our sweet time about it but now we've found our feet & are finally ready to fight you lot & breakup the Sky monopoly properly from now on. Now this IS old news but a major part of the reason we WERE held back so such a length was due to Arsene's 20M+ robbery. At a time when that money would've mad a MASSIVE difference to our (any Teams) development in the PL. To make it worse Sol promised he wouldn't walk for free after the Club that had nurtured his development all the way to the Giant he became. Instead he pocketed OUR money then the MUG complained once he "earn't" the 20M in his wage packet & you lot correctly wanted to half his wage to the figure he would've earned had we not been financially raped. I guess you'll call it sour grapes, wonder how you'd feel if the boot was on the other foot. Well Gallas might've been FREE but yesterday you got a tiny understanding of how much that sort of thing can hurt when your Captain snubs your lot Joins the rivals & takes 3 pts off you @ home. COYS
True Spurs Supporter
JP, fish out the thread on Vital Spurs every time we've beaten you lot and check what I've said. You're talking utter bull*****. I wasn't on your thread seconds after the game either because I was at the game numbnuts. Which Gooners are saying we're going to win the league? Point me towards a post on this site where you've seen that? Exactly. Nowhere. Our expectation is that we compete for the title and give it a good shot, something we manage more often than not and we still sit two points behind at the top. I don't think we'll win it, but I think we'll have a shout. Most other Gooners say the same. What you're doing is inventing arguments that don't exist and then arguing against them. That being the case, I would suggest taking up being a ventriloquist and actually engaging your brain (which might take a few minutes for you, I'm sure) and actually absorb what people are really saying, not what you imagine they're saying.
Little Dutch
To be fair, you boys are doing well while only really showing glimpses of what they can do, and not all Spurs fans are saying were going to win the league :) Most of us are happy being 6 points behind the leaders after 14 games, breaking our duck away to big teams, and showing Inter how its done in our first CL run. You missed bare chances, the result could have been so so different.
