Fabianski was on the initial team sheet, but rumours are that he has injured himself in warm-up and Szczesny is starting.
Well he's gone for Djourou to partner Koscielny. A good choice I say. Elsewhere a start for RvP and Walcott also seems positive. Bring on those Bodge residing ****s
That's according to the BBC. They could be wrong.
wot no Anelka?
Well Szczesny also missed it earlier. A blessing in disguise I say that Fabianski got injured. I was hoping to see more of Szczesny in the first team. Seems like I've got my wish
Think it was mistake about Fabianski being injured, nobody else reporting it just yet
Rvp will out score Drogba too!
Anyway I'm hoping the Pole in goal will do a job for us
Good luck. You'll need it, though for once, and for entirely selfish reasons, you winning will be a welcome thing.
seems Fabianski was given the teamsheet and dropped it. Szczesny plays.
I agree ajwb. I believe that was a BBC screw up.
Anelka apparently has a knee injury.
Arshavin, Squillaci and Chamakh the notable absentees. Our team today is a good mobile side with movement and skill. Hope they justify their talent today.
F*cking amazing first half performance. Best of the season, Kos and JD have been monsterous. Theo, whilst not being massively creative has worked his socks off. For the first time in a long time Chelsea have to come at us leaving them open. We'll either with this handsomely or lose 2 - 1
Deserved lead and what about the timing....just before HT.
Theo.....can't wait for the lad to become more assured and deliberate in his decision making. I think he needs to be told to give Cole more problems and draw the fouls.
Agree Rocky; I'll go for the handsome win though. Arshavin or Chamakh on, to give them something new to think about?
Lets push on in the second half! We cannot....I repeat...we cannot take our foot off the gas and let the door open for them!
come on the gunners.
johnney handsome
...but I can't think of who to take off in this team, now. Make no mistake, Chelsea will come at us and so, we need to be ready and able to make them pay.
This is a great position for us to be in. We just need to play our possession game. Keep it simple and let them chase the game....There will be plenty of gaps for us to smash them on the break, which suits our game much better! FOCUS
Come on you gooners!!!!
3-0!!!! Theo!!
Cesc!!!!!!!!! 2-0
Cesc repays the initial compliment from Theo. What a game it is turning out to be?
Drogba has been better defending today.
Yes, come on Chelsea, same thing about to happen to you as it did against Spurs!!!
Tony Rocky Horror
Oooh! Nasri!! Of all the players to miss the chance for 4-1....
Well, I'd rather leave RvP on and bring on Arshavin; but then, I am not the manager, am I?
Im going to lock myself away for 15 minutes! (he says biting teeth)
..Miss the threat Theo was providing out on our right flank. Now, their defense is more relaxed passing out of trouble.
can I come out yet???
Well we've had to endure to weeks without the Gooners, I've been sick since Christmas eve but boy have the gunners made up for it!
Love it! :D finally we didnt bottle
Bestest Xmas present for me this year!
Yes!!! Johan Djourou, Alex Song, Wilshere, Cesc and Samir Nasri take a bow they were absolutely awesome!!
Wow. What a performance. I was critical two weeks ago, but I said the defence was good. Well the defence was good again today, and that is why we won.
******** get in! Get the ***** in! whoop de whoop *****ing WHOO. At *****ing last! That has been a long time coming. A lot of Chelsea fans I know thought they were getting the 3 points easy today. I think there team did too. Job done, now on to the next game.
Turns out we're a good side when our two best players are fit. Go figure.
It would have been a travesty if we didn't win today. Can't remember the last time we so thoroughly dominated Chelsea. This will do the boys on our squad a world of good. We needed this win.
Chelsea are gash! They look like AC Milan did a few years ago - too old!
Take this win up your gazoo TRH.
Song was awesome for us today. So were Djourou, Cesc, Jack and Theo. Indeed, the entire team did well today and held their nerve for this hoodoo-breaking victory today.
If we can keep this up, not too many will fancy their chances coming to the Emirates.
Jackie and Dimitri were brilliant in midfield. Chelsea ran into a brick wall whenever they encountered any of those two. Kind of a reversal of roles. It is usually us running into a barrage of blue and the tables were turned this time around
Another element of our game today was a brilliant pressing game. Everyone knuckled down and put in a shift. We forced errors out of their midfielders time and time again and that was what was crucial to our 2nd and 3rd goals. Bloody Delighted!! Bring on Wigan and Man City
