Er both Deni and Song... Hope one of them will help Nasri out with the creative work. COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!
4-1 to Arsenal
Elland road is no easy place to go to on such a day; however, we need to contain them in the early stanzas then just score first.
Goaaaalll!! captain's stuff.
Goaaaalll!! captain's stuff.
A proper Arsenal goal indeed! :D
We need a second; there's no way we can sustain this blistering pace.
Ah how could Nick not connect with that great low cross from Sagna...??
Saaaagnaaaa! What a strike!!
Whoa so happy for Bacary!! Great strike indeed!!
We have completely bossed this game. Pure gulf in class and quality on display. We have to keep this up and a clean sheet, please.
Spoke too soon. A strike to equal Sagna's. And listen to the commentators eulogise the strike; always looking for the upset.
Thought there was definite foul on Arshavin before Leeds' excellent goal
We should have been 5-0 up before Leeds even had a shot on goal. Its been that one-sided. Good movement and pressing. It'll be a travesty if we lose this game.
Wyn Mills
Great to see the half-time camera pan to Bacary Sagna for a change. :)
Everyone playing well, with the exception of B52. What Wenger sees in Nick I really don't understand.
Wyn Mills
Sagna's 3 game suspension has made him so fresh and rearing to go; he obviously missed playing. He absolutely went off like a racehorse out of the traps, involved in everything from the right. Leeds will still feel they have a chance as we failed to take our opportunities. Arsenal should be at least 4 goals up by now, when you consider the Arshavin and Bendtner misses; and the saved Chamakh header.
At least Nick is trying to be fair. He's just looking clumsy and still a bit rusty. Wenger's playing him to get him back in form I suppose.
Should be 1-4 I cant fault them for the Leeds goal it was an absalut cracker. AA is gone AWOL again and for the love of me I just cant understand the manager playing him in the form he is in now. It's like he is sending the team out with a handicap each time AA plays.
Lol wyn I actually thing nicky is playing well considered that he is playing as a winger which he sure is not.
Armory, they would have rolled over by now, had we taken our chances and shouldn't have gotten that chance for the cracker.
Yeah, I can't be too critical. Its been a great collective team performance. Nasri has just marshalled it in midfield and Song looks imperious.
Wyn Mills
Contrast Nasri racing about 40 yards into defence, to retrieve the ball, with Arshavin's uninterested attitude. What was he doing heading back to his keeper, without warning or a shout? He has to wake up.
....Hopefully, we don't need to call on the calvary on the bench.
Naija not arguing that, as for their goal, well its one of those that are unstoppable for the keeper.
Well at least he brought the cavalry and we may still need it. I like when he does that, leaves a trump card on the bench which he can play if needed.
Don't blame Bendtner. It's not his fault he's playing wide. I can't fault Arshavin either. The effort is there and effort is all I really ask.
Yeah I can see the effort there. But just what was AA thinking hitting that ball high, wide and not too handsome crossing Elland Road to outer space..? :D
Chamakh wanted to play on it seemed, he had a good game and created chances. Just wonder if the reason why he came off before Bendtner was just that Bendtner needs more time on the pitch to get back fit...?
Sagna is a beast! :D
Great header!! RvP delivers!!! And good cross, too, NB52.
Great cross from Nicky B! Great jump, great header from RvP! That cross was Sagna-esque!! :D
No way was Gibbs offside.
Now, we just have to take it easy, save energy and keep control. It is game over, for me unless of course, we score again.
I think you're right Naija, thought the ref flew offside wrongly for Nick but Gibbs was okay.
Great performance by everyone don't you think? :)
Well done Arsenal! Had everything tonight that they didn't show against Ipswich. Really impressed by Djourou and Song and I think the longer Szczesny stays in goal the better.
Yep! Agree. Most importantly, it was a controlled performance, save for some good spells for Leeds.
Huddersfield Town in 4th round back at home, sandwiched between the home games against Ipswich and Everton. Can't wait!
Nice touch too, to allow our top men a run out. Always helps to keep fit and remain match ready.
Overall a good game some players still rusty and can't understand why AA keeps starting. Bring him on when we are cruising and the boy's can set him up for a goal to boost his confidence.
Everyone put in a shift can't really ask for more. Sagna was awesome, Nasri was sublime. Shame we ruined Adrian Chiles evening but there you go, at least he has that Leeds goal to shuff over next to the newspaper clippings of Lampards Mrs.
"Adrian Chiles . . . . . . . . . . . . .the human Toby jug." - Stewart Lee.
Nice to see Nasri supporting AA after the first of his wilde shots. And nice to see (I think) Cesc run over to B52 to celebrate his cross for RvP....collective leadership? A really good cup tie! Song was fantastic, the best DM in the Prem says Strachan

Kos had a decent game as well tonight. In fact both our CBs looked solid. But we have to remember this is a championship side we're talking about, and the games will continue to come thick and fast. Hope it doesn't make Wenger feel we no longer need cover back there.
Wyn Mills
Huh, beat a championship side did we? Big bloody wow. You've got a long way to go before your humiliating trophy drought is over. I can't see it happening this season! COYS.
Tony Rocky Horror
What's more humiliating? Not winning a trophy for 5 years, or not winning the title in living memory?
Wyn Mills
The Leeds support was epic. Crowds at the Emirates could learn a thing or two from Elland Road.
Wyn Mills
Wyn, your answer to that *****en spud troll is friggin epic! Brilliant stuff! Hope he shuts up for good.. Meanwhile, nice easy match with super goals!!
shady gunna
I'm surprised (not really) that nobody has commented on the fine game Denilson had today. He passed well, moved the ball forward, and pretty much did all and more than he was expected to do. Song had a decent game but got caught in possession a fair bit. Both had good games, but Denilson edged it for me out of the two. I think some people are predisposed to say Denny was crap- he could score five goals and balance a seal on his nose while juggling 7 balls and some people would say he was lucky with the five goals and lots of people can balance a seal on their nose while juggling 7 balls.
Haha.. yea elbondo .. peoples hatred is disgusting most of the time.
nah man.. Den was good yes but song was better and IS better in their position methinks.. Fully agree with u on d hatred talk tho.. Silly

Armory, Arshavin needs games according to me. Arsene doesn't seem to favour him in the league games. So it is imperative he starts in the cup games. I do think he'll come out of his slump. He did ok yesterday. Even tracked back on a couple of occasions. The effort was there yesterday, not the quality. Bit of an exception to the previous games he's had. Quality but no effort. I wouldn't fault him in his performance yesterday.
Denilson had a good game. I've always thought he's a good footballer but lacks the physicality for the English Premier League. That's why his best performances seem to come against lower league teams and in the Champions League against continental opposition.
Surely if Denilson lacked physical strength it would show up more against lower league teams? He is only just reaching physical maturity but he's already pretty strong and with great stamina.
Well played Arsenal, some times you have to just sit and watch and admire. Last night you played us off the park for long periods and I think we can take credit for taking it to the final fifteen minutes before you finished the ite off. Two very enjoyable games and hopefully we can be back for more next season.
Good luck to your lads on the promotion front dazza. You had a good go, unlike those loadsamoney knobs at Citeh who came to our place and camped in their own half the entire match.
Wyn Mills
Dazza71, Credit to your guys for a spirited and committed performance over 2 legs. Look forward to facing you guys in the prem, next season. Cheers, man.
Kasper Schmeichel did have a blinder of a game too; that save off Chamakh's header must be the best in his life (must be save of the season, so far). That young man will go places; also has his father's penchant for moving upfield for corner kicks, when the team is down. Then, what about Bradley Johnson's screamer? Leeds have a lot to be proud of, I think.
Great goal. Didn't realise he started his career at Arsenal. He's an Hackney lad.
Wyn Mills
Very tough for me to say having been brought up in Sheffield, but I thought Leeds did themselves great credit. The fans were fantastic too and I was really impressed by Max Gradel over the two legs. Denilson is easy to target because his game rarely involves the spectacular. He can, and does, pull off sublime passes and cracking shots, but normally he just goes about his job of moving the ball about to create space.
No 10
Amos, I wouldn't say that Denilson doesn't have that but he just isn't able to cope with the Premier League midfielders and forwards who are technically good as well as physically stronger than Denilson. The bottomline is Denilson does cover the yards well but he seems to do it at almost walking pace. And we also know how he fails to track back on so many occasions. Personally I would like to play him only in cup games where the risk of losing is less and also in the Champions League where the clubs have a more continental style of play
