Sorry guys, late post. End-of-season mood around here. Rocky, don't know why the bold, italic, etc. don't work... As I hit post, RvP equalised. As I was typing this comment, Vermaelen cleared off the line. Oh dear.. how many times have we said "this game epitomises our season"? :D

Hang in there Blackpool! Them and Wolves staying up is a nice prospect, especially with Brum down! Hope the results stay this way for another 35 mins or so!

Yes Gkid, which one are you watching? My wish was for Blackpool, Wolves and Wigan to stay up, Brum, Blackburn and Stoke to go down. Not too bad now actually.

You know what, I fully expect Bolton to equalise but we still are so useless that we'll finish 4th because we're finding it tough to score against Fulham, Arsenal-style.

I got several games up on the TV and laptop. I'm looking for a Wolves and Birmingham relegation. That is purely because of how Wigan and Blackpool play their football.

This season was Wenger last chance to prove that his philosophy might work. These last months have proven emphatically that it simply doesn't work. Not only that the players look absolutely disinterested. I had hope that we might make progress but now I'm certain next season won't be any different unless we change.

I'm hoping the psychological beating that AW has taken due to our tragic form in the last few months will give him a wake up call and force him in to making some significant changes this summer. However I'm probably being over optimistic.

The press conference Wenger gave the other day was chilling, I don't think he gets it. His attitude was misjudged and the tone was wrong considering what has happened. Watching and listening to anything involving Wenger is very depressing these days. It looks like he is willing to ruin absolutely everything for the sake of his self made principles which actually have nothing to do with the club. He needs to snap out of it really.

Does Fulham's red card mean Blackpool top the Fair Play Table?? That would mean Blackpool in the Europa League next season wouldn't it. So it's not all bad news for the Seasiders. Kudos to Ian Holloway, his interviews and the way he manages the club. They have done the league proud.

My my what happened to you guys? Supposed to be challenging for the title a month ago and now this? Arsenal the only side who can come fourth in a 'two-horse race'.
Just a relatively neutral opinion - tell Wenger to put his hand in the club's pocket and buy a big, solid, 'ard as nails anchorman who'll drive the team forward when you're wobbling against someone who's dared to stand up to you.

I don't tend to stop to listen to Wenger interviews these days. Its like listening to a tape recording. Its the same ********* week in week out, season after season. 'Mental strength', 'we are strong enough', 'how can we be expected to compete when all the other clubs are owned by billionaires' etc etc? Excuses and denials wrapped up in weary soundbites. Makes you wonder how many of the players are really listening to him too.

Wenger's comments about a new No.2 are quite disturbing - "I have enough experience to know what is important and what is less than important. It will be difficult to find a coach who teaches me how to manage a football team." How difficult can it be to find a defensive coach like Keown who can tighten our defensive work and defending from set pieces? That does not necessarily mean that a Keown will be telling Wenger how to manage a football team. The more I listen to Wenger (if he really means what he says), the more I think that he has lost his touch. The point is, he recognizes the defensive weaknesses, but if his solution is to make no change to the coaching set up, then we are set for another season of the same defensive frailties. I really hope he doesnt mean what he says.

iceman10, point is.... both are wrong. I would expect club captain and be present on the last game of the season. Gerard did it ,though he was injured. Him not being there when you were fighting for 3rd is different. Was Adams & Henry's absence due to their apparent jumping ships ?. Point is, If I pay the highest amount of ticket (or any ticket cost) in PL, I would expect my club captain to have that decency to attend the game. If he doesnt have that decency towards his first and only professional club, then as a fan, I would be ashamed and angry. If you say you do not have such feelings, it just suggests that you are yet again in denial mode like some of you guys have been throughout the season (about Arsenal's mental strength).

Let's see how much Wenger and the Board are really listening and in touch with the mood of the fans. This doesn't mean they do whatever we say, but it should mean they get what is happening with the most important people at Arsenal FC. As I've said before, I'd be very surprised if Wenger makes any significant changes this Summer, because he doesn't strike me as wanting to admit this project has failed. He said at the end of the season before last that he knows where the errors have been and what needed fixing, i.e. the defence. Here we are 2 seasons later singing the same song. If we the fans have largely stopped believing in the project, then surely the players must be questioning it to. Surely a few major signings would give them the boost too in the same way that Bergkamp's signing did. By what you keep reading on the official website, I wouldn't bet money on the Club sensing the mood of the fans.

I think Wyn makes a fair point. I stopped listening to what Wenger says in interviews a long time ago. Predominantly because he's a closed book with the press nowadays and you'll not get anything revealing. Which is fair enough. But the point is, we all know what he's going to say before he says it and you have to wonder if the players get that feeling too.

Those afraid not a lot will change this summer I think might be surprised. Almunia, Denilson, Vela and Rosicky are almost 100% guaranteed goners, I think Clichy is going to go too. There's going to be a big churn of squad players- simply replacing that lot will ensure a busy summer. Didn't agree per se, but there was a quite withering chant that went up yesterday, "It's Denilson's leaving party, take Eboue and Diaby." Pretty withering.

sydqcb5 Not in denial at all. If you think Tony Adams was a bad leader then it just sums how thick some football fans can be. Be ashamed at angry at your manager calling his own fans idiots twice in the space of 2 weeks and stop pretending your discussing this issue for any other reason than your hatred of The Arsenal.

iceman10, when did I say I am not angry at Harry. Dd I mention anywhere , I love Harry when he calls us idiots?. fool. Adams - was he on verge of leaving Arsenal when he was absent ? Fabregas might have played his last game and doesnt have the decency to turn up. If he is injured, I perfectly understand. But if he has the nerve to go to another sporting feature and ignore his bread and butter that is given from the fans pocket, it is unprofessional, unethical and cheap.

unprofessional, unethical and cheap sounds more like David Bentley if you ask me (Minus the cheap part). Yes Adams was on the verge of leaving Arsenal it was his last f*'king season at the club and yes Fabregas is injured. Also Wenger had given him permission to go, his family lives in Spain and why shouldn't he go and see a major sporting event if its on his door step? By the way you know what is even more unprofessional, unethical and cheap? one of your players claiming he doesnt want to play in the Europa league next season, think you have bigger problems over at VS than Fabregas watching a grand prix.
