Beautiful beautiful football!! Nice one Rambo and Theo!!
Keep concentrating Arsenal
Udinese seem to be very similar to ourselves. This could be very entertaining for the neautral .... nail biting for us.
Nails already chewed off. :-)
Defending very well. Walcott playing great as is Gervinho. Chamakh ... not so much.
Yes boys yes!! We may have made a few mistakes, but damn, that's heart and desire to make up for them. Love it!
This promises to be a nail-biting two legs.... :P
Very pleased with that. Udinese got into it a little bit more than I would have liked at the end of the half, but they're a good team, we can't expect to keep them at bay for the whole 90 minutes. The most important thing is we've defended with a lot of agression and vigor. Most athletic Arsenal performance I can remember in a long long time.
Very nervous about our defense and midfield. Not closing down and pushing them up-field.
@work, not able to watch. Can anyone feed me with the Halftime ratings? How is Kos, Gibss, Ramsey, Rosicky and Chamakh doing?
Kirean Gibbs, unfortunately has been subbed at half time :(
Should be fun watching Verm bombing up the wing
Gibbs injured? Sadly predictable.
fun is the wrong word isnt it..
Unless we score a second soon this is going to be a long 2 half
Is Pat Rice messing about with these subs or what
Djourou came on for Gibbs, and now has been taken off after a nine minute cameo with the same hamstring injury. Just when things started feeling a little better, they get a whole lot worse. F***.
ffs do we only buy crocks? JD off now with a hammy
Please don't start booing Gooners, it's not going to help any.
Oh dear oh dear we've got to stop patching up the defence like this... We need a centre back, now!
A shadow of the team that started the game. Gervinho has disapeared it seems. Scarey stuff.
So I'm thinking we need a quality centerback AND a LB.
When did ronald koeman become a ref?
Agree Rocky if fans want to went their frustration leave it until after the final whistle. This is terrible stuff from our team, nervous and jittery and we cant blame it on the injuries as we where starting to show this in first half.
The injury curse is back with us, apparently. Not watching as I am going through travel formalities at the Airport now. Can only wish the lads luck.

Frimpong? Why not Bentner?
So we play the home leg next week right?
Because what use is Bendtner if we're not getting out of our own half?
Please Dennis, give us 20 minutes of luck. Surely the boss will see the need for some quality additions to be presented this Friday.
Though I am begining to wonder why we're looking to sell Bendtner and keep Chamakh.
Perhaps the hundredth time I'm saying this: "Maybe these injuries would just force Wenger's hands...?"
Rocky we have no outlet up front thats why we cant get out. Might as well plant a light-post up there as Chamack.
Bendtner must have made a pass at Mrs Wenger at a Club function. There is no other reason to keep Chamakh over Nik.
Now, I am watching on one of those TVs in a kiosk. Hahaha! Now, I get the Ronald Koeman ref question, ajwb. Lol!
Bendtner is a very similar height and build to Chamakh, if we're not trying to use Chamakh as an outlet then I don't see why we'd do it with Nik. Has anyone seen Gervinho? I think he's buggered off for a cheeky meat n potatoe pie or something.
What. A. Save :O
Maybe cos Bendtner is looking to move on. Why disrupt our flow?
That was Lehmann-esque vs Ole Gunnar Soleskaer.
Phew! Jeez, that was tough watching in the 2nd half.
Whoa.... anyone has any nails left...
Phew that was hard work, two clean sheets in a row this is the only way the defence can grow in confidence. Ever the optimist me :-)
Bright spots? Walcott is always a threat. Our defence in a variety of forms has kept 2 clean sheets.
When the ***** is jack back/? Cannot be soon enough.
OK 1 nil to Arsenal. This was far far from comfortable. From what I have seen here to night there is noway we will get anywhere in the league this year or or in the Champions league. We will need at least 3 top players signed, CB creative midfielder and a good striker and the chances of Wenger doing that are as great as me winning the lotto.
Great result considering the circumstances! Udinese played the better football in this game and we had to really grind it out. The injury to Gibbs and Djourou is worrying and the timing of the injuries is bad with the Liverpool game coming up.
Rocky as for Nik over Chamack Nik is technically better and has in abundance what Chamack is totally lacking now namely confidence. I agree he blows hot and cold but what did Chamack do tonight to justify his selection?
Armory, Chamakh is only of the level of a squad player at the club and he is happy to play wherever he is told to. Bendtner thinks he can replace RvP and wants to play through the centre. I have no doubt as well that Nik is the better player but he cant be a happy squad player which is why he wants to move on.
I'll answer that question honestly Armoury - He justified the selection by being the only available striker who still wants to play for the club.
Our First XI of RvP, Gervinho, Theo, Jack, (Ramsey???), Song, Sagna, Kos, Verm, and Gibbs can do a job. Not win the league but keep us at least in 4th I believe. 2 or 3 injuries or suspensions and we're utterly screwed though. RvP is unlikely to play the whole season No way Gibbs will Djourou never has Ramsey is still on the comeback from a horrific injury Theo has ankle issues apparently
errr, sorry about that. I got my code wrong, I was trying to get paragraph breaks, not bold. You get the idea though.
We were lucky becoz Udi players were not sharp. Chamakh continued to play like a headless chicken, 94 mins of little contributions. Walcott still lacks a footballing brain. Other than that goal, he was pretty much a sprinter playing football. Forget about titles. Focus on the 4th place.
Backs against the wall performance.. Love the gunners.
I find that closing my eyes, putting my fingers in my ears and repeating the following helps - "Number 1, Jens Lehmann. (yaaaaay) number 12, Lauren. (yaaaaay) number 23, Sol Campbell (yaaaaaay) number 28, Kolo Toure. (yaaaaay) number 3, Ashley Cole. number 8, Freddie Ljungberg. (yaaaaay) number 4, Patrick Vieira. (yaaaaaay) number 19, Gilberto. (yaaaaaay) number 7, Robert Pires. (yaaaaay) number 10, Dennis Bergkamp. (yaaaaaaaay) number 14, Thierry Henry. (yaaaaaaaaaaay)"
The TV & Kos partnership has looked great! We need a damn leftback so we don't have to break that up!
Rocky most of NB frustration is with the fact he is being played as a winger when he is anything but. move him into the middle as a cover for RvP and he'll be happier. Either that or go out and buy a 1st class striker, if we continue with Chamack as a cover for the 1/3 of the season when RvP will be injured we are infore a very lean time.
Jeez, close your bold bracket! LOL
