Front line of RvP, Gervinho and Walcott is good, the midfield of Ramsey, Song and Pong is who will be tested the most! Frimpong needs to keep his head and Ramsey has the creative burden - thats a lot of faith the manager has invested in him. Was expecting one of Arshavin or Rosicky to play instead. Up the Arsenal!
We still have quality in the starting 11 even with the departures and injuries,i think we'll win ;)
At least we have options on the bench. We need this. Get this one guys, and we're going to Harrods tomorrow.
i wish you luck tonight because i can sympathise with everything that is happening with your club as you are a victim of the raping of our game by clubs like city and chelski rant over good luck
Thanks jljyid, appreciate and agree with your thoughts.
we got killers up front, we got vermaelen in the back, no problem
Nice one jlyid!
RvP may need to drop a bit deeper occasionaly to help share Ramsey's duties as he has great awareness of his team mate's movement and that could also pull some defenders out of their well set positions.
thank you jljyid. This is the best lineup he could have put out with the exception of maybe Rosicky instead of Ramsey but we will see.
your welcome delta as sad as it is the 2 of our clubs are run properly with no debt as such yet we keep getting put down by these teams who i am convinced dont just buy the player to fit there team but to destabalise (spelling) the opposition yet we have no way to combat it as contracts mean nothing take the modric case apparently his head is not in the right place well hang on sunshine you signed a contract to play/work for thfc now do what you are paid for if you need time of then we wont pay you go and get statutory sick pay ohh wait you want to play now do you. its bollox these 2 clubs city and the chavs think they are successful which is stupid in the extreme if i won the lottery i wouldnt be succesful i would be lucky and thats all these clubs are
I like the change in the midfield formation, hope it works. I have class here soon, so I'm going on media lockdown until I can get home to my dvr! Biggest CL match since '06. UTA!
UTA! I dread the Ghanaians in their squad (always will do well for the shop window) but see we have our own. U.T.A.!!!
We've started well. Now, just to get the goals we need.
i cant see the game chaps how is it panning out is dinatalie as good as they say?
Udinese is growing in confidence now. A good defensive performance is needed tonight; plus clinical finishing.
jljyid, it has been end to end, with our side edging it on possession and attempts on goal.
"A good defensive performance is needed tonight; plus clinical finishing." Lol Naijagunner neither is our strong side:)
Armory, you need to look on the brightside. We've gotten rid of those bottlers Fabregas and Nasri and replaced them with young players hungry for the fight and surely they'll be able to do what those two foreign flops could never do. I was almost able to type that without laughing and/or crying.
Nervy stuff now. Di Natalie has scored. Our closing down has been hesitant and keeper is guilty of being caught off his line too often.
We need to show a lot more hunger for this, you'd feel. Still in the balance....
I've got this ugly feeling that LD is going to scratch a bunch of new stadiums off his list this year.
Doesnt change alot for us
F*** it. We started off so well. Theo should have scored and put this thing to bed. Not feeling too confident now.
Clinical finishing is what we lacked in the first half. Walcott and RvP both could have done better. Its the diametric opposite of the first leg till now. This time we have more possession and shots on goal but Udinese are ahead. Chin up we arent out of this yet. Our strikers better sharpen the phuck up.
1) I still believe RvP is capable of that moment of magic to get us through. 2) What is really scary is that it is outside of our club philosophy/manager's abilities to step up like Bayern did a few years ago when they were out of the CL and they went out and spent to get 2 of the best wingers to strengthen their squad. 2 years out of the CL could be disastrous for this club.
Oh my goddddddd!!!
The unimaginable is happening. ...
How am I going to face my non-Arsenal supporters tomorrow??? OMG
Hope to see you back in the PL next to us fairly soon ;)
45 minutes of gut wrenching football coming right up. Stay tuned.
Somebody needs to step up and take charge, give us an inspirational performance.
Oh dear lord, please let Tomas's legs hold together for the next 50 minutes, and if you have any extra magic please squeeze some goals from them.
yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what's this feeling??? hope?
F***ing get in there. GET IN THERE!!! Rob you f***ing beauty!!!
Chesney is beast
The tide is turning boys!!!
and there we go, there's our Arsenal luck reinstated.
What was that pen for?
and there we go, there's our Arsenal luck reinstated. 35 minutes more, c'mon!
What a star Chesney is, not sure why the stupid ref gave a penalty. He's favoured the home side all night.
Who woulda thunk it!! lol Get in!
Thank you God!
Alright let's keep those tempers in check. Have to admit it's nice seeing Theo not playing the "nice guy" quite so much.
Stat attack: Theo Walcott has now scored or assisted a goal in all six of his Champions League Qualifying appearances
That was a 20million pound penalty save
Rvp getting fancy
Character defining match this one. A game the lads will definately come out better for playing in. Nice one.
Almost a heart attack
Time to spend some farking money
Nice to see that Song found his brain. Hope he keeps it out of the cupboard for the rest of the season. Thought he was excellent and Jenkinson has promise. Walcott, even for his goal disappointed again but overall a good performance. To be honest of the 3 games Liverpool this one and utd I was least worried about this game.
Hazard, Baines, Cahill and Falcao or Hulk
What a f***ing weight off the shoulders. Amazing performance in one of the toughest situations we've been in for years! So happy :)
Szescney is the *****in real deal! Don't know what it is, but I never feel concerned about him at all. Let's hope we get our mojo back.
IF Wenger really has been waiting for this match before signing some players, and now he goes out and does it, I think we'll all feel soooooo much better.
The away fans didn't miss a beat when they sang Szczesny's name when we went 2-1 up on the night. Our young Pole showed the skill of a virtouso and the testicular fortitude of Patrick Vieira. Our defence worked extremely hard with a special note for Jenkinson who exceeded all expectations at right back. TR 7 changed the tempo of the game when he came on at half time - take a bow Tomas! Walcott and Gervinho gave us outstanding counter attacking capability and it all counted at the end. It was a night for Champions.
Congrats Arsenal, you deserved it today.. Your keeper Szczesny was terrific, at 21 years old, you dont need to worry about that position for many years to come.
So relieved. We just need to have belief in the team, new buys or not. Adversity quotient will come to play for us and strengthen team spirit this year.
RvP and Gervinho are not on speaking term. why is that?
RvP and Gervinho are not on speaking term. why is that? U heard it from me first.
we need a proper leftback.
Gervinho doesn't speak English?
Well done Arsenal, hope you do well in the PL and end up 2nd after us off course :-) More importantly Pleeeeaaaase knock the scum of it's perch this Week-end!
Blue ponderer
Hahahahaha! Pity, Eboue isn't around to interprete Dutch to Gervinho. He is a master of the Language art, isn't he?
fcdematthew, at half time you think of your own plight in facing upto non Arsenal fans you know, at full time your reaction after we win is 'spend some farkin money' and finally you are specualting on discord between our captain and Gervinho after the game. Pardon my disbelief.
fcdematthew is some work of art.......
30 on Walcott to score at anytime yes sirrrr thankyou very much. Shame you and Rubin Kazan didnt lose at the same time as that would have been a new car lol
HY, so does this mean you finally prefer Walcott over Lennon now? :-)
Yee were very lucky to get through guys. Imagine the money your club would have lost phew. now at least your team can get another signing before the window is closes
Id rather have Lennon on right wing than Walcott. Hes a better footballer. Upfront is a different matter though, this boy can finish! Cha Ching
Great Result last night if a touch nervy, particularly when Udinese had that soft penalty.well done Chezzer. It is a great relief to finally have a keeper to keep out near post efforts and command his area with solid authority.Jenkinson is going to be some signing for us.Solid as a rock and the lad can play too.Surely Wenger must realise that we need a solid left back who can play 5 straight games without twitching a hamstring a la Gibbs.Traore is diabolical at best and left back is clearly not Sagnas best position albeit he never lets anyone down when he dons the kit. TV5...Now one wonders if he had been fit last season if we wouldnt have had a much better season.Simply Immense and a Born Leader.JD20....Not the most accomplished performance I've seen from him but better than the Squid anyday.Song...Crap in 1st half, much more influential in the 2nd.Frimpong...the lad reminds me of PV4.Time will tell. TR7...One of his better performances in an arsenal shirt in a long time imo..Gervinho...great verve and dynamism even if a tad raw.Did ever so well for RVP goal.RVP...didnt really set the world alight but did enough imo.great finish for equaliser tho.TW14...The lad has a helluva lot to learn when it comes to decision making but boy does he have pace and a sometimes clinical finish?.Needs work tho,but it will come with time. Now Wenger needs to go out there and make some marquee signings to boost morale starting with Gary Cahill. Now thats an Arsenal Player if I ever saw one!!!.Come On Wenger, pull your finger out,Come On Arsenal...Victory Through Harmony!!!!!
