Fantastic! He's always been a hero in my eyes ever since he prevented Spurs getting 4th spot. He is used to the Premier League too which is a bonus.
Not the marquee signing we were hoping for but a good squad player nonetheless. A crazy end to the window; why none of this was done six weeks ago I don't know. Better late than never. Btw, anyone else embarrassed by our 'fans' behind the reporter on SSN? Just shut the ***** up and let the poor man speak.
Me wonders why AW wasn't doing this in the first place?!

Remember guys these signings are only being made because of the 2-8 drubbing. Wenger really was going to go this season with the duds on show up in Manchester.
Not so, Will-i-am10. Wenger did state early in the summer that things will get very active in the last week and this has been his usual style (if we can call it that). Besides, considering the players we have let go, we did need to buy, even if not exactly adequate replacements; add to that the fact that certain clubs just wait for our scouts to identify a target, then throw money at the one to scuttle our plans. This way, reaction time is less.
Clearly, therewill be no Marquee signings this window. The team needs to dig in and stay united through an expectedly difficult season and hope for some breaks.
Oh well. Arteta is in too....
an excellent player in my eyes... gives it all on the pitch and well capable of some magic too (sadly not much in the chelsea blue)... prone to injury though and that will decide whether he is hit or miss... good luck yossi!
Another one that could end up being a great signing if he can stay fit. You may well be asking Nasri-who?
If he's good enough for Chelsea and Liverpool, he'll be a good squad player for us. Don't forget he was in Chelsea's starting line-up last season before injury.
Benayoun on loan eh? Will this be the last time we hear Arsene having a pop at City and Chelsea for having so many players out on loan to other Premier League clubs then?
Fifthcolumn - let's be honest, Man City are ruining football right now. I used to like your club, but no sincerely wish you no success and hope you get a good few months out of that money-grabbing t-w-a-t Nasribayor before his motivation peters out once again. Don't kid yourself, all those foreign players are there for the money only. They're thinking let's stay here for 3 years, sort ourselves out financially, and then move to Spain or Italy. Frankly, who wants to live around Manchester when you're loaded. Think Tevez...
I cannot for the life of me work out why we a.) got rid of a lively talented creative midfielder who was our best performer in pre-season and b.) loaned a player to a rival. Makes no sense. Oh wel...good luck to him, great player.
FCB, Chelsea and City have such bloated squads that they will invariably end up doing favours for their rivals by loaning some out.
Cheer5s gooner_Vin. No doubt you used to love those plucky fans that used to sing "We're gonna win 5-4" when you were drubbing us at Maine Road eh? Well, I was one of them, and I just find it funny that all of the good will towards liddle ciddy dried up when we started beating you and becoming a threat to the four teams that have enjoyed the Champions League monopoly for so many years. And for what it's worth, Wenger had a go at the loan system only this morning, despite taking a player from Chelsea on loan in his blind panic to make up for not reinforcing his squad much earlier in the window. Once a hypocrite, always a hypocrite ne'est-ce pas?
fifthcolumnblue why do you spend so much more time on our site than you do on your own. forever having a pop at anything arsenal i think your infatuated with us and its taking over your life. you remind me of a mate of mine who was addicted to drinking brake fluid it wasnt a problem, he said he could stop any time he wanted
cornish gooner
Damnit,I just know this guy will excell with arsenal's style of play.
Great signing. experienced quality.
Have always loved Yossi since he made the Yidiots sick for the second time in two days on 8th May 2006.
great signing has so much to offer if he can stay fit.
