'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Adebayoor, Shove Your Apology, We're Guna Boo More

Emmanuel Adebayor has apologised to Arsenal fans for his behaviour after scoring against his former club for Manchester City in 2009.

The former Arsenal player ran the full length of the pitch to celebrate in front of travelling Arsenal fans and almost inciting a riot. Adebayor claimed his celebration was in anger after Arsenal fans chanted derogatory things about his parents (ironically enough the song the Spurs fans sang to him on many occasions).

However the Ivorian, ahead of the North London derby on Sunday, has apologised for his actions.

'What happened two years ago was an accident and I do apologise to all the fans of Arsenal. Sometime the emotions, we cannot control them, we are all human beings.

'I regret what I have done and I say sorry to everyone but at the end of the day sorry doesn`t change anything. For me it`s over.

'I'm looking forward to playing against Arsenal again on Sunday but believe me, if I have a chance to score, trust me I will score but as for the celebration, never in my life will I do something like that again.'

To be honest, I don`t think it will matter one way or the other. No doubt he`ll get some abuse, but no more than any other Spurs player. So much water has gone under the bridge no one really cares about him any more.

I just couldn`t resist the article title :)

Adebayor who?
jaelle
Two months tops before he starts disrupting and causing disharmony in camp chicken. Fools' been passed around more than a joint at woodstock. At least we won't have to worry about our defensive high line with him as he'll doubtless be dawdling offside the entire game. Gangly halfwit. Hope he gets murdersacked.

"murdersacked" - that's pretty brilliant, niko

We dont care anymore
Sajit
Just one correction Rocky, he's not Ivorian, he's from Togo.

Pot (no not ganja), Kettle (nothing to do with the old bill), Black (I'm not racist either). They are just players at the end of the day, looking for the best deal. I doubt there are two clubs in Togo with an equivalent rivalry. Unless you were born in London how can you understand that passion. by all means boo him I think it will probably SPUR him on. COYS

BergGunner - Of course he is ... dunno what Iwas thinking there. I'll leave it though or it'll make your comment look odd. lol
Rocky7
I've already made peace with the inevitability of him scoring tomorrow.

As long as we score more, LD, I don't really care. But I'm just not sure whether that's going to happen.
prits
Why not, Prits? It doesn't have to be pretty or easy but, I fully expect a win for Arsenal. We'll just have to wait and see.
